Very good beginner GPS

Buyers should note that they don't have a USB connector included in the package. Luckily for me, I was able to use my Nikon camera's min-usb connector. You get one map update for free which is great. It takes about 2 mins solid to lock in the GPS signal. Overall a very good buy
What's great about it: One free map update
What's not so great: No USB connector
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of the best things about this purchase was the price dropped a week after I purchased it. It took one very friendly short phone call and Best Buy refunded the difference. I had the money in my account before I got off the phone I think.
Very nice unit. I went with the Garmin after hearing problems with other brands maps. Very happy with the product.
Took me a way I didn't expect a couple of times but time was the same so cannot complain. Very clear instructions, traffic, and great price.
What's great about it: Easy to use and price
What's not so great: Sound could be louder
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the speed limit postings on the unit! This is our 2nd Garmin, and I love the ease of use. Great little GPS and was a steal while on sale.

Picked this up for under $100. Easy to use. Great features for my sister she loves it. Had the older model for wife and she picked it up and figured it out right away.

Great buy

This GPS is awesome! I love the bigger size and it's never gotten me lost yet!
What's great about it: The set up took about a minute. Bigger size.
What's not so great: Pop up ads.

I've been using Garmin's for a long time (marine, aviation, etc), and several other brands also. For highway driving in the USA, you can't beat these Garmin 200 series (nuvi 255WT in this case). We have 3 of these in the family cars, maps are accurate, updates available, and the traffic management feature on the 255WT is a life saver on the I-95, D.C. beltway, etc.
What's great about it: Just works, my wife and kids can do setup without me.
What's not so great: I could always use a bigger screen (think iPad size!).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Price was excellent!! Grabbed one at the store before Christmas for one daughter and after Christmas *had* to find another at comparable price. Probably will wind up being an "older" out-dated model, but the features and ease of use are just fine. I have the 265WT and this is virtually the same (no blue tooth).
What's great about it: price
What's not so great: didn't come with cables for charging inside the house or connecting to PC
I would recommend this to a friend!
