Very Good GPS

This GPS unit is replacing an older unit of a different brand that was ok, but had some issues... Overall the Garmin is all good, and the online acess and software is compatible with apple, so that is a plus for me, no complaints as of yet, I'll keep you posted!!
What's great about it: Easy to use, fairly accurate, nice features for the money...
What's not so great: nothing bad to report yet...
I would recommend this to a friend!

My wife has had the Nuvi 755 for a couple of years and when I bought the 255 I expected to see a dramatic difference,because of the cost difference, and I did not. This unit gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: limiteed voice options
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything about this is great except the traffic delay notification. That sucks, I cant even use it, it tells me theres going to be a delay after the fact, doesnt give me a chance to reroute before I get on the highway. Other than that, its great. The speed limit indicator is very helpful and the text read function is also nice.
What's great about it: easy to use, especially like that it tells the speed limit.
What's not so great: the traffic indicator sucks, it didnt tell me 75 in atlanta was packed until i was driving on the ramp. little late!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought the 255w for a trip. No problems with it. Easy to use right out of the box.There should be a usb cable with it for registering unit and updates.
What's great about it: Easy to use right out of the box.
What's not so great: No usb cable

I bought this two days and I'm loving it already. I purchased a Garmin C550 a year ago and wanted to upgrade to a newer model. I'm very impressed with this Nuvi. The traffic updates are very accurate and detour me to alternate routes. I love the 4.2" widescreen and the color screen looks more detailed. The only disappointment was it has no external volume control...you have to go into the menu to change the volume which is a hassle if you're trying to concentrate on driving!!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that travels!!! I returned my TomTom and I'm glad that I did!!!
What's great about it: Love the Lifetime Traffic Updates,
What's not so great: No External volume control. you have to go into the menu to change the volume.

For those reviewers who said this is "garbage" they are complete stubborn idiots. Even a baby can learn how to use this awesome GPS. Highly Recommend over any other GPS in the market & much better than TOMTOM units. Trust me buy this and you will not regret it.
What's great about it: easy to use and setup, and good price. If you do not understand how to use it, just sit down and play w/ it for 30 min
What's not so great: N/A

I have always thought Garmin was the easiest to use compared to the others. I just purchased the Nuvi 255WT on "Black Friday" and I am already loving the ease of use and its functionality. Took not even 2 minutes to set up and start using. I like the speed limit indicator, traffic level indicator and a new feature I did not know about the EcoRoute. This GPS is loaded with many extras other than helping you find your way around town. I have already recommended this device to my friends and family and would strongly suggest you take a look at this as well when purchasing your next GPS. Again very simple to use just turn it on select your country, language and your ready to go from there. Enjoy!

Plug and go. Took it on a trip from the Midwest to DC. The unit worked flawlessly.
This is my first experience with a GPS unit and I am quite pleased.
