This is a great gps. It is replacing an older Nuvi for a fraction of the cost. I have been very happy with the Gramin products. They are easy to use and seem to be more reliable than some other brands that I have tried. The 255w.
I tend to take the gps with me instead of leaving it in the card. Having to unlpug the power each time is a pain. My older Nuvi had the power integrated in to the bracket.
I got the model with the traffic alerts. The updates for traffic are very poor in the Pittsburgh area. But I hope that they get better over time.
What's great about it: Very accurate - easy to use
What's not so great: newer version has power cable plugged directly in to gps instead of mounting bracket. The traffic alerts option is not

Excellent GPS bought at a great price during thanksgiving. The directions are accurate. Since I live in NJ, traffic is common. A traffic receiver is packaged as part of this product and I find the free lifetime traffic very helpful. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Accurate directions, Free lifetime traffic

I own a Garmin C240, but this is superior by far. If you own a GPS, you know map updates are rather expensive. It was worth it to upgrade for almost the same price as the map!

I have only used it a couple of times so far BUT I was extremely surprised at the accuracy of the GPS unit. When the map showed a side street we were right there. I also like that you can put it in pedestrian mode to use in a city that you are unfamiliar with. That worked great in Toronto, Ontario. Also the traffice worked great. It told us about a 1-2 minute delay 8 miles ahead and sure enough there was a slowdown. Not enough to reroute but it was correct. The where am I worked great too.
What's great about it: very accurate, easy to use, great price on Black Friday

After stumbling through the first time we had to enter info, we finally got to try it out. The instructions sent us North when we really needed to go South so not sure what happened. Glad we knew where we were going which I would recomment to any first-time users. Be very sure the data you enter is correct. You don't need to enter items i.e. No., So. E. etc. as the system lets you choose that after the street name is selected. Haven't tried anything out in the country yet to see just how correct it will be. I'd advise keeping a map handy so you at least have a sense of direction before you start out.
What's great about it: Large viewing screen, easy to use
What's not so great: Directions were not correct first time, but that may have been our fault
