Best Buy had a good Christmas price on this unit incl. lifetime traffic. Pretty hard to beat
What's great about it: We've found it much more user friendly than TomTom

I took advantage of the Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving day and got this for $99.00, free ship. I was surprised at the small box which makes it difficult for storage, trying to get the unit back in its place, the charger, etc. The Garmin 255 is very accurate, places me at the correct house every time. The Lifetime traffic is a nice bonus too.
What's great about it: Easy setup, accurate
What's not so great: The box is too small!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purcahsed three nuvi 255wt - one each for two adult children and one for me. We all agree that the viewing screen is excellent - lots of information but all can be read easily. My son likes that he can fit it in his computer case while traveling and using rental cars and my daughter likes that it will fit in her purse when she leaves the car. I find it is also a 'monitor' for a heavy foot on the gas pedal as it displays speed limit as well as your current speed. My main issue is that it routes you via the most direct roads which tend to be two-lane rather thatn interstates or multi-lane
What's great about it: The size makes it easily portable in a purse or even pocket. It is easily read.
What's not so great: It routes you by shortest route first and not via interstate or main roads
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got my first GPS for Christmas and I love it. It's easy to use. I've used it a couple of times already

First time for a GPS

Purchased the Nuvi 225wt about 2 wks before Christmas. Was traveling to Ohio to visit family over the holidays and wanted something other than google maps. Visited relatives in three areas and typed in the addresses and went.
No problems navigating and voice prompts were great.
My kids had fun watching the car on the screen. The only problem I did have was when I was in an area that I was familiar with and decided to take a different route my kids flipped out because I was not following the route shown on the screen.
This in my opinion was a great purchase. My wife can't wait to use it.
I did read every review prior to purchase to see how other folks felt about it.
What's great about it: Operates right out of the box
What's not so great: Nothing at this time
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is our first GPS system. I really enjoy not having to print out maps from my computer before I go places. I'm still learning how it work, but all of the features I have used so far are great. I really like the live traffic feature. Its a good reason to have your Garmin on even if you know where you are going.
What's great about it: Traffic alerts
What's not so great: Some tries to take you on an out of the way route
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really love this GPS. I have been using it for a month and used on a cross country trip and found everything I needed with great success

What's not so great: Would love longer battery life by 4hrs isn't bad
