My boyfriend bought the device for me for Christmas. Best Buy is the only place that sells the 255WT (included lifetime traffic). I have used the GPS for about a month.
Pros
-Easy to use out of the box
-The traffic has been wonderful for since i live in Baytown but work in Houston
-Found shorter routes on everday driving trips
-Metric converter comes in handy for my 9-year-old daughter
-Can change the vehicle icon
-Caught it on sale for $130
Cons
-Takes about 4 hours to do map update (probably don't have to do immediately)
What's great about it: Works out of box, great price, traffic works
What's not so great: Map update about 4 hours
I would recommend this to a friend!

I researched the top 3 brands & several models before landing on this one. Received a great price, thanks to the Black Friday sale and have been extremely pleased with it ever since. It's easy to setup, entering your destination is simple and it's even helpful around town, since it shows most of the posted speed limits. When it goes from 55 to 45 to 35mph in less than 2 miles, you need some help keeping track. This unit does it! Haven't had any of the problems given in feedback on other makes/models. Very pleased!
What's great about it: Great price, easy setup & no glitches.
What's not so great: Haven't found anything wrong yet. :-)

I love my Garmin 255WT-it is exactly what I wanted

I wanted a GPS with good maps, voice directions and traffic updates. I did not want bluetooth capability or traffic updates I needed to purchase a subscription to use. The Garmin 255 WT has the exact features I wanted. It is easy to set-up and use.
What's great about it: Easy to set-up and use. Has the features I desire. Good price.
What's not so great: None found as yet

wide screen looks good, the keyboard is qwerty style
traffic info might be a bit delayed but still a fun feature to try out

For about $150, it was one of the best GPS units around. Nice that it has text to speech, although it doesn't sound as great as I'd hope. Lots of language choices, especially since I understand a few dialects of Chinese and French and have foreign relatives that would appreciate it.
What's great about it: Large screen, small form factor, easy to use
What's not so great: Slow at times, graphical display could be nicer
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this Garmin for trip to Disney and other short trips. Worked great. No complaints yet; since only used for a one-week trip. A few times, GPS did not recognize roads into Disney complex; but then just followed road signs. Have not used to find local places of interest yet. Hope to soon and will add to review.

What's not so great: Nothing yet.

I'm used to the terrible Hertz rental GPS so I often miss turns as it doesn't provide a "beep" for the turn. It simply tells you to turn, which is really not a big issue unless you're used to another device.
Otherwise great product. Very happy with it. My parents saw it and wanted to get one as well.
What's great about it: Easy to use and pretty responsive
