Learning GPS

This is my first every GPS.
I am having fun playing around with this GPS. I love that I can create my on maps and add stuff that is important to me (family members houses, church buildings, and things that r not already on the map system). The system allows u to save ur coordinates, this is useful for places that r not already on the map (summer camp locations), and for places u visit that r not properly located on the map.
The maps for our area of Northwest AL r off in several ways. The corrections you make in your area can be sent in for review for future updates on future map releases. The directions must be looked at rather then just heard. It often times says "north" when it is "south" and vice versa. It also calls roads by old road names from days gone by.
What's great about it: Easy of use (once u know how to find what u need)
What's not so great: Maps

This the third GPS system I have purchased for my family.
I always go to the Garmin name for quality.
What's great about it: Love the touch screen.
What's not so great: Dash holder slips.

I got this to replace our older nuvi 205w and my wife liked the features on it . She wanted one that announces the road names. This one also came with traffic updates. We have not used this feature as of yet, but when the weather breaks, we hope to find out how it works. We tryed a Tom-Tom brand with the same features and returned it. Our older nuvi 205w which still works great will be passed down to our daughter.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing

This is a great GPS! It tells you about up coming traffic, keeps you informed of speed limits, the moment they change...very cool. I typed in a friend's address (in a very remote location) and this gadget took me directly to his house! I love it!
What's great about it: A present for my son...he loves it! easy set up, great price...so easy to use!
What's not so great: nothing bad to say about it so far!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pleased after major fix

It's a great little unit...finds satellites quickly and reprograms lightning fast. The unit I received had a programming fault that only got diagnosed once I got online with Garmin's software technicians. It took several frustrating days of emails and phone calls to tech support before they finally offered this assistance. One tech support insisted that I had the wrong USB cable so I went out and purchased one with the Garmin label on it only to get the same result. They're phone support also seems to be understaffed as there was always a long wait period before getting someone to talk to. In the end, after about an hour on the phone working with the programming guy (who reprogrammed the unit remotely) my nuvi works wonderfully!!
What's great about it: Calls out street names
What's not so great: Problems getting the unit recognized by my computer
I would recommend this to a friend!

i enjoyed using this product however i am still looking for my dream product which gives real life images of the roads and videos at a very competitive pricing.
What's great about it: simple to use and good voice clarity
What's not so great: power plug in socket should have been at the bottom not at the back

We bought this GPS for a Christmas trip to DC, to visit family. Hadn't been there in a few years. We needed to get around the snow storm that had hit in that area a couple of days earlier. Not a problem. When we got close to home, it was dark and the snow had made it hard to get your bearings. This unit guided us to my old neighborhood without a glitch. My wife is fron England, so she loves the Briitish accent!
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: No USB
I would recommend this to a friend!
