Type in one word and this unit will find closest place in descending order. You must spell well however. Appleebee won't get you to Applebees. I would highly recommend this unit to tech challenged first timers.
What's great about it: Very Smart, easy to use
What's not so great: No AC charger included

Good product, my second garmin and good results with both. Great for finding stores, restaurants etc.
What's great about it: Ability to locate stores, restaurants, drug stores etc.
What's not so great: Keyboard is tiny sometimes resulting in typing in wrong letters

This was just what Mom wanted for Christmas. She's pretty comfortable with technology and was able to program in specific addresses and look up restaurants quickly and easily with minimum help from me.
This model has just enough features to make it easy to use.
What's great about it: Just enough features to help Mom explore her new neighborhood
What's not so great: You have to buy a separate in-home charger. It only comes with a car charger.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Garmin's product is what as is advertised. So easy to use that my 5 year old can work it.
What's great about it: Everything, I set pluged it in and it was good to go.

I bought this unit because I know that Garmin has always been the leader in GPS units and I really liked the wide-screen of this model. I was very surprised by how easy this unit is to set-up. You just plug it in, wait a few minutes for the satellites to find it and you're done. I was equally surprised by it's ease of use, accuracy and amount of features (speed limit display for each road you travel, list of near-by restaurants & points of interest, the "Where Am I" emergency locator, etc.). I purchased this online on Thanksgiving Day to take advantage of the 1-day, 40% off sale, but this unit is even worth the full price!
What's great about it: Large Screen, Full-Featured, Great User Interface
What's not so great: Nothing yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great GPS - CAREFUL of Updates

The GPS on its own is a great investment. Garmin suggested downloaded their free updated map. BIG Mistake. 9 hours later, 1 crashed computer and spending 2 hours on hold with their tech support...it finally works again. The download was corrupt and caused a new laptop to blue screen. Luckily, we fixed that and have a working GPS. Would recommend the GPS...WOULD NOT recommend updating the map.
What's great about it: Easy to set up, great deal
What's not so great: Trying to update maps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love it, recalulates fast if you miss a turn, easy to follow and program with voice street names feature. The look up a store/resort/gas station directory feature is awesome for use on vacation's. Big screen and touch functions are nice. No custom map feature to create your own route.
What's great about it: Fast mapping, works like a phone book, find any business, easy to use
What's not so great: traffic updates are slow
I would recommend this to a friend!
