Great little piece of equipment

the overall action of this unit is quite nice.i love it and would recommend this product to other people...The value is great and all the exrtas it has is great..
What's great about it: It's quick to start up and recieving satilite signal.
What's not so great: half the time it won't speak the street names...
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was really easy to use, right out of the box. But I found some locations indexed strangely. Our local Lowe's hardware store didn't show up with the other hardware stores but several Lowe's in the next town did! Ours was listed under general stores.
What's great about it: Easy to use, large screen, clear voice
What's not so great: Some places indexed strangely

The unit works pretty well and is easy to use, however the traffic feature doesn't work unless the power cord is plugged in. Also it sometimes resets itself when "calculating". I think this only happened when running off the battery and not plugged in.
What's great about it: It's great to be able to change the voice, and the touch screen makes it easy to use.
What's not so great: sometimes it resets itself when "calculating" for no apparent reason

Unclicking "avoidances" in setup should solve problem with being routed locally rather than highways.
What's great about it: Works out of the box with little setup. Traffic feature nice.
What's not so great: Sometimes routes you on local roads when you can see the highway next to you.

Only used a couple times... This technology is amazing. I have not had any problems with it locking up or the screen freezing. I would recommend this model for people looking for a gps and don't need all the bells and whistles. Its simple to use and more accurate than pc online directions.
What's great about it: easy to use, accurate... met all expectations. No problems so far

Great simple functional GPS unit

Great unit wit an array of little nifty features that I have not seen on others: displays speed limit, auto power on and off with the car ignition, quick satellite capture, tons of points of interest, functional QWERTY keyboard layout. Awesome design of subtle little things.
You can also upload topo and other Garmin maps to this unit.
What's great about it: Intuitive interface, auto power on and off when in car

Excellend GPS system for the money

I purchased this as a Christmas Present for my wife. She is 'Directionally Challenged' and was in desperate need for it. We moved to a new city and state 18 months ago and she is always getting lost, even though she has been to the same place 6 times, she still gets lost!
Now she can go grocery shopping without getting lost each time.
What's great about it: Very easy to, even a cave man could use it!
What's not so great: It is not accurately calibrated so it tells you that you have arrived at your destination before you actually get there!
I would recommend this to a friend!
