the only thing good about this game is firefight. however even firefight has its flaws. For example when you play firefight you have to dedicate hours of your time because you cant pause it and it never ends and you cant play with more then one other person on the same tv. Its just not worth it.
What's great about it: firefight
What's not so great: not much to do other then firefight

First and foremost, I find it quite upsetting that Grifball is not available for matchmaking at all times. I purchased a game, I found a style I like and I can't have access to it five days out of the week? Why?
My only other qualm is with looking around in the game (Halo 3 Multiplayer): It takes way to long to look down at the ground to throw a grenade then look back up to shoot. By the time you look back up, the opponet has destroyed you with their weapon.
If you increase the sensitivity to a comfortable x axis then the y axis flys too fast for comfort.
Essentially, it's feels as though the sensitivity is not the same for x and y. There's also seems to be a delay in speed, instead of immediatly panning vertically at full speed, there appears to be a transition.
Try it yourself. Set the sensitivity to 10 (insane) and press the thumb stick as far down as possible to look at the ground. It's a comfortable speed fully depressed, you can actually time it and stop when you see the ground.
Now try to look left and right by applying the same amount of pressure (fully pressed left/right). You can't see anything, it just whips by.
Maybe I'm just use to using a mouse for PC FPS gaming, but I feel I would play considerably better if I could play this game with a mouse.
What's great about it: Night vision, free multiplayer (if you don't own halo 3)
What's not so great: Grifball not available at all times. X axis moves faster than y axis when looking.

its a good game short campaign though. wait until it drops a little in price unless your a halo fanatic. it comes with a second disc that has everything from halo 3 except the campaign theres no matchmaking aside from that. fore firefight you have to join a friends game or invite a friend. Bungie sort of made it to hold us over for Halo Reach
What's great about it: interesting campaign, firefight
What's not so great: no matchmaking, short campaign

This game is the second best halo game to come out, second only to Halo:Combat Evolved(the first one). Campaign is a lot of fun and a brilliant way to keep you playing. I've played the campaign 3-4 times now(story is decent), when you travel the streets you can choose your own way(to a limit, there's only a limited amount of ways through any city). Plays more like the first game like a said which imo is better than 2 and 3. Firefight is a great addition to the game and my friends and I have spent hours playing it. The game is a lot of fun when you have three other friends with you, and makes Firefight a lot easier when you know what people on other screens play like.
What I wish there was in the game: A multi-player versus. I know a lot of people would say that Halo:3 matchmaking is good enough but I don't really like it. I'm thinking that a large scale game on New Mombasa would be a good add.
Matchmaking for Firefight with a ranking system(don't want to play with people who suck)
I want the pistol from ODST added to Halo:3 because it's that good.
What's great about it: Firefight, New style of campaign, more below. (better than H3)
What's not so great: No match making for firefight, wish there was a versus, look below

This is a decent game. Not up to all the hype it got, but still better than most others out there. They were smart to release it before Modern Warfare 2. I wish they would enhance the online play more.
