Halo ODST is another great game from the Halo franchise. It has huge maps to play and the AI is smarter than ever. I am very happy with my purchase. Plus you get a Beta Invite included for Halo Reach when the beta is released on XBOX Live.
What's great about it: The gameplay and plot.
What's not so great: Nothing

This expansion only for die hard halo fan. If you are achievements hunter, stay away from this game, too much grinding. Like most halo games, achievements is too much grinding.

I think you people need to learn your games better. People like you who think halo wars was horrible, need to read up before they go on talking about how bungie knew that it was horrible... It was an amazing game, it was supposed to be an RTS... not a FPS... So you should think next time you want to go on about Halo wars vs, Halo 1, 2 , and 3. Halo ODST, is going to be amazing, and they did not make this because of halo wars.

ok...before you get quick assumptions, i AM related to Joseph Staten, and I got a taste of ODST at E3 2009...I can describe what parts I played in one word...AMAZING!
let me explain:
Firefight: Firefight is a NEW multiplayer "co-op mode" where covenant come in waves, similar to Gears of War's "Horde Mode", but WAY harder
YES U CAN HAZ RECON!!! When I was with Joe, he explained that you have to get ALL 7 VidMaster Challenge Acheivements to unlock Recon for multiplayer use (3 1/2 on Halo 3 via Title Update 2 and the other 3 1/2 are programmed in Halo 3 ODST)...trust me, THEY ARE NOT EASY TO GET AT ALL....the easiest one is "7 on 7"

anyways, to the story....the game is set 2 weeks before the events of Halo 3. You are the Rookie (real name unknown). When you are "dropping into hell", a covenant cruiser carrying the prophet of regret goes into slipspace, causing an interferrence with the landing...which results in the troopers dividing. When you wake up about 6 hours later, your teammates (Buck, Romeo, Dutch, Mickey, Dare) are missing...it is up to you to figure out what happened to each member....which explains the whole "choosing the pattern you play the levels"
overall....
if you're a Halo fan, RESERVE IT
if you like FPS games, RESERVE IT
if you hate FPS games, RENT IT
if you're a hardcore Halo Hater WHY ARE YOU READING THIS REVIEW?
What's great about it: Great plot, Play Campaign levels in a different order, more realistic than Halo 1-3, FIREFIGHT!, you can unlock Recon
What's not so great: nothing
