Had been using the provided window mount with our Garmin GPS, but it would fall off the window due to the excessive temperatures here in Arizona. Our new model sits firmly on the dash, but is easily removable whenever we decide to take it off the dashboard. I wish we had known about this design a year ago. Highly recommended.

When placed on my dash, 2013 Hyundai Sonata, shifted a little when I had to turn a little quick. i used some Velcro patches and placed a Velcro strap across base attached to a Velcro square on each side, didn't move at all.

Works surprisingly well on the dashboards I have used it on. I rent cars a lot and usually use the Garmin suction cup when a glass surface is available, but this works just as well when no glass surfaces are available.
