We purchased this along with a Garmin nuvi 2595LMT GPS to replace an older Garmin GPS and stand. The stand itself is great- the only thing I don't like is the sticky underside that sits on the dash. I understand it is to help adhere the unit to the dashboard, however when not in use, we like the ability to hide it under the console on the floor. With this unit, I can only imagine the carpet fibers would stick and we have had to find alternate places (on top of dvd cases, etc) to store this in the vehicle on road trips. Other than that minor problem, it's great. It holds the GPS securely and does not slide around on the dashboard.
What's great about it: Holds GPS securely
What's not so great: The bottom is very sticky

Hold The GPS Secure

This is their top of the line dash mount and I really wasn't planning to spend this much, but, the lesser cost model didn't have the same nice weighted feel. I keep the included suction mount as a "just in case" spare, but, I didn't want to keep removing it from my windshield. The dash mount makes it easy to stow away when parking so that you're not advertising the fact you have a GPS unit stashed inside your car. The base is a bit flexible to form fit it to any curves on your dashboard. Before using it, wipe the dash area clean using rubbing alcohol to help keep the dash mount in place (read this in the instructions). The base is tacky to help keep it in place, but, do be mindful if making any sudden sharp turns to just place a finger on the base because the base is not glued to your dash (I had to react fast while making a U-Turn a bit too fast than I should had). This model is worth the money vs. the lesser cost models I had seen.

Better than the Suction Cup

I chose this mount because the size of the sandbag mount was much larger and I wanted to be able to store it in my vehicle easily as well as take it with me when I needs to do so. It was very easy to set-up and is easily molded to fit the dashboard. It is very sleek looking and is better than the suction cup because you can bring it closer to you.
What's great about it: Molds to Your Dashboard, Doesn't Slip/Slide Around, Works with all newer Garmin Models
What's not so great: Material attracts Dust

Get off the windshield!

My garmin gps kept popping off of my windshield, sometimes when I was using it. With this mount, I was able to stop that from happening again. The base is mold able to fit the curve of the dash. I can position and reposition, or put it away if I don't need it.
What's great about it: It can be placed anywhere on the dash or console.
What's not so great: It's a little bulky.

Purchased this as my window mount failed. Cracked and broke from repeated falling off windshield. The dash mount is better because it isn't going to leave that GPS "Ring" on your windshield, and keeps the power cable out of your line of vision.

I liked this mount until I found out that it leaves unremovable silicon residue on the dashboard. I tried to remove the shiny silicon stain with every possible cleaning agent, but no success ! If you are concerned about this then do not buy it

This product works as advertised, and it makes mounting and dismounting a Garmin GPS an easy task. The quality is what you'd expect from this kind of design, and so far it's satisfied my particular needs.
For what you get, $32.00 seems extremely high, but it's one of the better mounts for a Garmin. They need to charge about half of what they do.
If you're willing to pay a high price for one, this is a great mount!
