It holds a 7 in garmon and doesn't move. Fits well in ant of our 4 vehicles and doesn't take up much space. Haven't had any problems with dry rot like in bag ones

This device slides easily into the center console of my camry - even with the 5" GPS attached. It folds when not attached which allows for easy travel on planes and to my other cars.
The only downside - which hasn't been a problem for me - is that it may shake some on a bumpy road.
