ADJUSTMENT EASE

Due to distance from wall, accessability to adjust tilt knob to proper viewing angle is difficult while the tv is mounted on frame. For same reason adding or removing cable connections after initial installation is a problem as well. Contemplating replacement with a different model.
Cons: Difficult to Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I design AV systems for a commercial AV integrator. We keep these mounts stocked in our warehouse for many reasons. They work with nearly everything we install, they are a breeze to install, and they cost much less than some of the other big name mounts out there. That gives us a higher margin on our sales, and keeps the customers happy, which is crucial in the crazy economic times. If a basic tilting wall mount is what you need, look no further.
Pros: Close to Wall, Easy to Use, Durable

Easy - Great build quality

We have used these mounts to place several flat screen TV's throughout our studio.
The build quality of the hardware is excellent and they are super easy to use.
They range of motion is limited - but this is what allows the slim streamlined look so its a worthy trade off.
Pros: Close to Wall, Easy to Use, Durable
Cons: limited range of motion

Installation is surprisingly simple

Very easy to install. You really don't even need instructions as the look of all of the parts is very straight forward. The only thing that I ran into was the that bolts were too long without spacers and too short with the spacers. I solved this problem by hack-sawing off about 3/8" on the spacers, and then everything worked great and tightened up perfectly! I did not use the template. I found it easier to determine the height, and then drill the first hole and screw in the bolt. Then I hung the wall bracket on the first bolt, leveled the bracket and drilled for the second bolt. I found the "heightfinder" tool online to be very helpful in establishing a base line. I ended up raising the TV 2" higher than the "heightfinder" recommendation, but the "heightfinder" is a great place to start in determining how high the bracket should be. All in all this went quite well and I am very pleased with the final results!
Pros: Easy to Use, Meets Expectations, Good Quality, well designed
Cons: somewhat expensive but so is everything else.

This is a great product offered by Sanus just like the rest of their products. I own some now and have had before. Sanus makes top notch quality products, this is for the products I own, I am sure you all will agree. Materials that are used with Sanus products are durable and have good feel to it. VLT5 is detailed and well designed product, so hands down 5 STAR.

Easy 3 step instructions was done in about 20 minutes had the tv on the wall watching it.By the way i'm 63 years old.

Easy Installation

I installed one of two so far. I am installing two so that if i ever have to move my TV's around i can just pull the releases from behind the TV's and swap them. The only reason i am not giving this 5 stars is that there is no instruction or suggestion on where to go through your walls with your cables so you do not interfere with the brackets ability to slide and adjust left to right. Try and avoid placing your cables below the wall mount bracket even if that is the best way for your cables to align with your cable ports on your TV.
