i bought this card and got windows 7 and now it will not show anything on my screen. i don't know if its catalyst issue or whatever. but other than that it is a very excellent card and would recommend it for gaming.
What's great about it: great card, easy to install, excellent price
What's not so great: WILL NOT RUN ON WINDOWS 7!!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still no fix from ATI.
What's great about it: Low power consumption and no fan.
What's not so great: Has problems with Gigabyte P55M-UD4 Motherboards

This card did not surpass benchmark tests against my ATI Radeon 2600 512MB DDR2 card that I bought almost 2 years ago. This card is not worth your time or money. Do not purchase it.
What's great about it: 1 GB DDR2
What's not so great: only 80 upstream units
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do Not Believe the Box

I bought this adapter to replace a Visiontek Radeon card that the fan failed on in about 1 year. It was selected based on having 1 gig of RAM and "built in HDMI." When I opened the box, I found a card that does not have built in HDMI. My application requires HDMI, so it is back to the store with it. If you can not believe what you read on the box when it is something as simple as the type of plugs it has, how can you ever believe the other technical data. Note: If you look up this card on the XFX (manufacturer) website, you will find two pictures without HDMI and one with HDMI.
What's great about it: It leaving my sight.
What's not so great: Box says "Built in HDMI," but no HDMI.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This item gave very poor performance for a 1G card. In fact, my 512 card did twice as good. Pass this one up for a cheaper and better card..
What's great about it: thin card, great for micro boards
What's not so great: everything else

Good Card for Small Power Supplies

This card is excellent for a) older systems b)systems with small power supplies (i.e. 350 watts or less) or c) systems that need a low profile card.
Don't expect to play the latest cutting edge games with this card or you will be disappointed. But if you have an older system and like to play games that don't need a lot of graphics power like Civilization or other strategy games, this card will do well for you.
I installed this on an older Dell GX280 system with a 300 watt power supply and it is doing well. I use the system for work during the day and for some casual gaming at night. I play games that aren't too graphic intensive, but still need 3D acceleration like "Galactic Civilizations" and this card lets me use all the eye candy. Most games that are more than 2 years old will do just fine on this card. The 1GB memory helps make up for the fact that it is the slower memory.
What's great about it: Easy Installation, low profile card, good value
What's not so great: Will not do well with latest games
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not recommended for Inspiron 531 Desktop

Part operated as expected after full installation. Cannot comment on performance as I have since taken it back. Reason for taking back is the heatsink on the back side of the board was touching two electrolytic capacitors on the motherboard and not being fully seated in the PCI-e Slot. Would not recommend using this video card in a Inspiron 531 desktop from purely a installation standpoint. If it is used, be wary of any tall motherboard components near the slot where the card is to be installed.
Heatsinks got incredbly hot fast. Much more so than previous video with similar specs.
What's great about it: No comment
What's not so great: large heat sinks on both sides of video card.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Graphics Card

A great graphics card able to run things like games from 2008 and past on very high, from 2008 till present its able to handle all new games so far on med-high. A great buy.
What's great about it: Great price, so easy to put in, runs great!
What's not so great: Scary to install by yourself if you never done it before. But I was able to do it!
I would recommend this to a friend!
