Everyone one pretty much already knows it - this game is great. Compelling single player story and really fun multiplayer!
What's great about it: the game is just awesome.
What's not so great: not as many multiplayer modes as i wanted
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Game

Both my kids LOVE this game. My oldest (who is 17) says it is the best game ever. They play non-stop.
What's not so great: Haven't heard a bad thing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't be intimidated by other players levels in multiplayer.
What's great about it: Single Player campaign is short but sweet, Spec ops are awesome w/ buddy, multiplayer hours and hours of fun
What's not so great: single player campaign could've been longer. Also campaign could've had more cohesive story.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Multiplayer Experience

Modern Warfare 2 picks up where MW left off, by basicly just refining the core gameplay that has been worked on since the first COD on PC. You run, you gun, and you get killed. The single player experience is a rollarcoaster of an FPS, and if you ever wanted a taste of what real combat is try the single player level Favela on Hardcore. However the twists become arbitrary and cliche, so it is by no means an amazing story. But its fun to play through.
However the Multiplayer makes up for any shortcomings that the SP suffers, adding in RPG elements into the core RTS just like COD:MW. The elements and game balance are even better tuned now, and people will find they will be able to increase their level much faster now. In addition, those without Xbox live aren't left out of the leveling fun. They now can level a character offline separately, so everyone can make custom classes.
Overall a great game, but if your reading this chances are you've already bought it.
What's great about it: Multiplayer, Singleplayer is basicly an action movie
What's not so great: Singleplayer is basicly an action movie, Someone is always better then you online

If you are a fan of Call of Duty, then Modern Warfere 2 will not disappoint. Everythng you loved in Modern Warfere is back, with fun new vehicles and locations. Exciting multiplayer completes this fine package.
What's great about it: The story continues from Modern Warfare
What's not so great: The Campaign could be longer
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Good - A huge improvement over the original Modern Warfare and hands down the BEST game out this year. IMHO, the campaign mode was shorter than expected, but it more than makes up for it in the SpecOps section.
The Bad - Online multiplayer: Once in a while you may have issues with connecting to a server if you're in a large xbox live party (5+ friends)
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: online multiplayer connectivity
I would recommend this to a friend!

Being a Desert Storm Veteran I think that the game is Out standing! It is so realistic and action oriented that you can hardly catch your breath before the enemy is right up on you. The game play, scenarios, weaponry, non stop action, story line is crazy. (I didn't like being involved in killing civilians in Russia) but I don't it wasn't any worse than grand theft auto or resident evil series games. I noticed that the enemy comes after you alot more in this game as opposed to the last one, you don't have points that you get to or by and the action just drops to nothing! The best game of all time in the war game catergory. If I was other comapanies trying to compete with them I would retire. It is estimated that Modern Warfare sold more than 4 milliion copies in 24 hours. 4 milllion at 60 dollars a unit, that is somewhere in the ballpark of 300+million in sales in a day! Who does that? No Company does that. It did more business in a day than any movie made in hollywood. Think about it!
What's great about it: Graphics, game play, scenarios, Weapons, Voice overs!
What's not so great: Some times you are pulled through boards it seems
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Grapics, Mutliplayer, and controls
Little short for the single player. But lets face it you dont buy a Call of Duty game for the single player its all about multiplayer.
What's great about it: Mulitplayer
What's not so great: single player is short
I would recommend this to a friend!
