The campaign is short, but is so breathtakingly cinematic that it seems to work well enough with the brevity. Spec Ops is a new addition to the Modern Warfare series and is surprisingly addictive and is not just a hodge-podge collection of garbage missions. There is a whole experience waiting in Spec Ops that you can't find in the campaign or multiplayer. And speaking of multiplayer, it is the reason you're getting the game, surely. If it isn't, it's the reason you'll keep it. The depth and replayability of the multiplayer are unrivaled in any other game that I have ever played. The game is catered towards customization. However you like to play, the game rewards you for it. It is a hectic but exhilarating experience.
All three modes in MW2 are their own separate entities and yet each one is done flawlessly. We will be playing this game for months and years to come.
What's great about it: Gameplay, cinematic experience, replayability.
What's not so great: The campaign is short. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

Best game I have played so far for the 360. The Xbox Live gaming is addictive and fun. There are so many modifications you can earn it will be continued fun for a long time.

The diverse and dynamic multiplayer experience is far and away the best that there has ever been. I haven't even started the spec ops or single player yet because multiplayer is that good. This will go down as the best first person shooter of all time.
What's great about it: Multiplayer experience is top notch.
What's not so great: Not being able to go into party chat is frustrating.

Campaign was just as amazing as COD4 if not more.
Spec Ops was a great new feature and I prefer it to Zombies (COD Waw can't even be put on the same level as the Modern Warfares IMO)
Muti-Player is all it should be. As a word of caution, this game is awful for my blood pressure. My only compaint is that I wish that they had kept party chat. You'll hear all the usual crying and whining over campers, noob-tubes, M-16's and whatever else is killing all the crying babies out there, but overall I think that the game full on delivered on all expectations and even exceeded some.
What's great about it: Campaign, Spec Ops... and of course Multi-Player!
What's not so great: Lost sleep, destroyed relationships, Carpal Tunnell, getting shot up by 6 year olds!

This game was a great game to make up for the last disappointment of Call of Duty: World at War. I played the first Modern Warfare a ton and this game is even funner than the first. Definitely worth the price of a new Xbox 360 game.

Best game out there. The multi- maps are killer. The action is even more quick-paced. Only even questionable "issue" is a short campaign, but I didn't buy it for solo play anyway.

The online is even better than call of duty 4 and the new perk system is great. The campaign has a great storyline, but lacks in difficulty. I was able to finish the Veteran playthrough in no time.

The single player is a lot of fun, but if you're in it for the story it's a confusing mess. While the first Modern Warfare had a story that was within the realm of possibility, this one does not.
Multiplayer is fantastic, but the learning curve is steep as the online competition is solid. Be prepared to die over and over under the learning curve kicks in.
The new co-op "campaign" is a series of maps broken out of the single player campaign and are standalone challenges. These are an absolute blast best played with another player, but most can be attempted solo. Good luck with that.
What's great about it: Great graphics, multiplayer, and co-op "campaign"
What's not so great: short single player campaign with a story that's way over the top
