Outstanding Shooter, even for a newby

Im fairly new to playing these types of firstperson shooter games, but I found this one very accessable. Ive played other types of games for quite some type, but Im no xbox live champion. I normally like either more fun story games like mario on the wii, but I have to admit this is a fairly fun game.
Graphics outstanding, action packed and gripping, and the diversity of different weapons was dizzying. I only started playing this game because my boyfriend plays it all the time and I wanted to be able to spend more time with him. Sitting around chainsmoking while watching other people play videogames was getting old; although I have to admit the action in this game is so fast I hardly have time for a cigarette when playing =) Just kidding (a little), but seriously, this game moves fast but is very engaging. I think its a great buy.
What's great about it: Great graphics, suprising realism
I would recommend this to a friend!

great game

I love this game, I play it for the multiplayer and altho there are some bugs(what game doesnt have bugs?) its a great game. What annoys me about the game though is that sometimes when you shoot someone it doesnt react, so like I'd shoot someone and they wouldnt get hurt. Another thing is the boosters in the game, they got rid of Cage match because people were using that to boost so they are trying to get rid of it but lets face it, they won't ever be able to totally rid the game of cheaters and again lets face it.. everyones boosted at least once lol whether youre trying to get FMJ for your gun or trying to get Fall. Another annoying thing is when playing Hardcore.. youre not supposed to get hitmarkers but sometimes you will. But even with these bugs and annoyances it is such an amazing game and when you're playing you'll keep saying "one more match then ill get off" but we all know it'll be a few matches or another hour before you get off lol.
What's great about it: addicting and fun
What's not so great: the few bugs
I would recommend this to a friend!

Getting worse with age

This game is officially the most over rated game of the year. Campaign is incredibly short, has a few glitches that just shouldn't be there with the time they had with game development. Not very many weapons in the game. Just wish it came with the proper price tag of about $35. That is all it is worth. I wonder how many of these reviews were done before the game was even out.
What's great about it: Graphics are cool
What's not so great: boring weapons, glitches, short campaign, limited weapons
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Game with many problems

I personally do not like this game, because of the camping that people do online to get the perks from kills without dying. You can get a bomber, that drops bombs on enemies, a helicopters that fire missiles too, or maybe you'll rack up enough kills to get a predator missile to kill anyone within a whole block. Thats not the end of the perks either, because if you get 25 kills you end the game with a nuke, and you crowned as the winner. This of course applies to most game types, but not all. Because of the perks most believe the only way to win in this game is to camp, and I'm not a camper and never will be. If you like great graphics, big and fun maps, and matchmaking, with dying and respawning all the time, this game for you. You'll love it if you're a camper! Would not recommended to a friend, because my friends hate campers too.
What's great about it: The guns, the maps, and matchmaking are fantastic
What's not so great: Perks encourage people to camp with or without a sniper rifle
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This game is a decent one, and by that I mean good and bad. GOOD= Tons of replayability, graphics, plenty of fun with friends. BAD= So many glitches when playing online, the main story is very short, and special ops is very annoying when you have to try and try again at every mission.
What's great about it: Graphics, replayability.
What's not so great: Many problems when playing online, and gets boring very eaisily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this game when it first came out...
The single player campaign was pretty decent, It could have been better.
But obviously this game is more for the multilayer experience.
First time I jumped online i was familiar with the controls an the way the game player because of the first game, Tho I did notice the game is a lot more fast paced which can be a good thing and a bad thing... The perks are great some are a little overused but what do you expect? Camping is here but once again what do you expect...
Overall this game is good but not the best COD in my opinion, I would recommended getting it if your a fan.
What's great about it: Couple of good guns, Good graphics, Online is fun.
What's not so great: Single player not to great, Only one bolt action sniper? All the assualt rifles feel the same.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great game completely worth it

I've been playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for about a 1 year now. I still enjoy playing it and i think it is a great game. As what I've heard Modern Warfare 2 is supposed to be so good that it makes Modern Warfare look like a joke. So anyways, in my opinion the regular copy of the game is really what you should buy. I'm not saying that the hardened edition and prestige edition is stupid and not worth it. I just think that the regular edition is worth it because it is just the game. The hardened edition is worth it if you want that art book that tells you about the game and the code for cod 1. The prestige edition is worth it if you actually go outside and play games during the night, if you've been wanting night vision goggles for a long time or want an art book. However the copy of the game with the console is completely worth it if your willing to spend the money. it is worth it for many reasons such as:
- 250 GB hard drive
- if your xbox isnt in good shape
- if you want cool looking console designed especially for the game
-etc.
What's great about it: single player, 2 player coop, online multiplayer
What's not so great: nothing so far!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
