What's great about it: It's just...awesome!
What's not so great: It's not endless!
I only found Endless Hallway a couple months ago on iTunes, and I fell in love with A Bad Current. The song had a unique sound that drew me in enough to make me go out and buy this album and let me tell you it is incredible from start to finish! Usually I can say where the influences come from, but this band doesn't sound like any other band. They sound like Endless Hallway and that really impresses me. I'm looking forward to future efforts and you will too!

What's great about it: Different, good music for less money
What's not so great: Over too soon :)
I get this feeling listening to "Autonomy Games" that is almost overwhelming. The potential this band has is so alarming that I find myself conflicted as to whether I should keep them to myself for as long as possible or if I should broadcast how amazing they are. I decided upon the latter, obviously.
I've been following Endless Hallway since late 2005. From rough demos of several of these songs and blogs on their myspace to this impressive piece of art and an even more impressive live show, this band's vision is incredible. It permeates every song, and the music videos for the two singles ("Solvency" and "Cell") are not your cliche mediocrity. They entirely embrace who they are, forgoing the awkward "finding yourself" stage when many bands tend to copy their influences to the point of boredom. From their looks to their sound, they are completely Endless Hallway.
Blended with this vision is true musicianship. Ryan Jackson's voice is phenomenal-- combining a rough edge with catchy melodies. The music is fantastic, a sort of electronic grunge with punk/pop-punk drumming. This is the future of music.
Buy this album. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing album, from the opener Autuonomy Barrier to the final notes of In Transit. Smart, catchy songs with beautiful lyrics and flawless production. Ryan Jackson is one of the best lyricists and talented vocalists I've ever heard, and every time I listen to this album I simply feel inspired. Endless Hallway sound much different from most alt rock bands today, and I can't wait to hear more from them. My favourite album of 2009 by far.

What's great about it: Pretty much everything.
I've been a fan of Endless Hallway since I first heard the 30-second preview of "A Bad Current" on their myspace page a few years ago. The singer and guitarist (who at the time were the only members of the band) released four great demos of songs they had been working on, solidifying my status as a fan of the band. Since gaining members and playing many live shows, I they became more of a live rock band, with their songs based more around 2 guitars, bass, drums, and vocals, as opposed to their more experimental demos. While that's a bit of a disappointment for me since I get bored with the live rock band approach to music, they do it a heck of a lot better than most bands. Even though most of their album is based around the fact that they're a live rock band, there are plenty of experimental characteristics a studio based band would create. There are enough electronic elements and backing vocals and interesting mixing techniques to make each song a very different experience than every other song on the album.
Three of their demos made it to the album, in newly recorded versions. "A Bad Current" and "A Toppled Dynamo" sound as good as, if not better than the earlier demo versions, in my opinion, but I think "Grey Flats" worked much better as a demo. That's not to say the album version isn't great, but I liked the demo much more. My favorite of the 4 original demo songs, "Eels And Cold Baths" wasn't reworked for the album. "Grey Flats" working better as a demo, and the fact that "Eels" is missing from the album are the only negative aspects of the album I can think of. If you haven't heard the demos, then I don't think there's any reason to be disappointed with Autonomy Games.
Just about every time I've seen a mention of this album anywhere, the soundscapes within the songs are emphasized. As soon as the celestial vocals come in at the beginning of the first track, "Autonomy Barrier," it sounds dream-like, invoking images (for me personally) of the singer floating around a star-filled sky. Without sacrificing the atmosphere, the song soon becomes one of the most energetic, rocking moments on the album.
There are many intensely energetic, rocking moments on the album though. And the band is very good at it, probably not only from being great musicians, but the fact that they are such a great live band. The very same energy they have when playing live is captured perfectly on the album through songs like "A Bad Current," "Cell," "Solvency," and "Toppled Dynamo."
Even though the band is very good at playing very intense rock music, I found myself enjoying the poppier, mellow songs more. "Shallows," "Remora," and "Gamma" are probably my favorite songs on the album.
The album flows perfectly, with consistent production and mixing, despite the fact that each song is unique and explores very different sounds than the rest. Autonomy Games is definitely worth the price.

What's great about it: The songs are awesome, the music is epic, the vocals are dreamy... What more could you ask for?
What's not so great: Absolutly nothing.
These guys are out of Cali, rockin it hard on tour with Vast... Autonomy Games is a great cd for anyone who enjoys such artists as; Finger 11, Trapt, My Chemical Romance and The Smashing Pumpkins....

This album is amazing! Every time I listen to it, I find something new to love. From the beautifully crafted lyrics to the way the sounds of the instruments and voice flow and mesh together, I would not change one thing about this album. It can easily be seen as a cohesive piece from this remarkable band, but at the same time it is not boring. Each song has its own story to tell and its own way of telling it. I definitely recommend this album.

What's great about it: Sound, lyrics, the feeling of deep emotion
What's not so great: Your face! jk
I remember the summerof '06, the first time I heard Endless Hallway's tracks such as "Toppled Dynamo", "Grey Flats", and of course "A Bad Current". I've been wait anxiously for thier album, I was so excited when I heard it came out! It indeedly great to here them nicely improved, especially Grey Flats heavier sound. Ryan Jackson's artwork is soemthign to behold on the cover, Even the title Autonomy (Self-law) Games is great, so mysterious.
The album begins with Autonomy Barrier, a great entrance theme, almost like a movie. It starts out quiet then picks up the riff and finally goes silent again, with a nice emphasizing scream for the cherry on top. The tracks "Gamma" and "In Transit" end the album, but leave the listener with a sense of enlightment and having them begging for more. From the deep lyrical meanings of "Shallows" to "Games", from the loud passion of songs like "Solvency", this album has something for everybody!

What's great about it: Oh, just about everything?
What's not so great: The band can't fit in the cd, but you'll swear they were rocking your face off in person.
This cd is holding nothing back, so be safe and be sure to practice these precautionary measures.
1. Purchase.
2. Place in your player of choice.
3. Have your face rocked clean off.
4. Put your face back on.
5. Cry uncontrollably at the unbelievable awesomeness that is Autonomy Games.
6. Rinse and repeat!

What's great about it: Amazing sound, good price
What's not so great: Not available in my local music store
I remember listening to Endless Hallway back when the demo for "A Bad Current" was released and ever since then I always got extremely excited when hearing new music from them. I must say that I am truly happy with what they made of this album and I hope there are many more to come. These are definitely songs that I really enjoy and want to listen to over and over again.

The cover art is bright and engaging, leading buyers into an album that is likely to become their favorite. The CD is consistent all the way through, without seeming droning or monotonous. Actually, the arrangement of the tracks keeps you on your toes. The album goes from energetic and driving songs such as "Cell", to calm and beautiful melodies like "Grey Flats". Fans from Endless Hallway's earlier days will remember "A Bad Current", "Grey Flats", and "Toppled Dynamo" from their demos. These have been reworked into even more impressive songs, and surrounded by all-new tunes. This CD has the ability to appeal to a wide range of listeners, giving it a great lasting quality in the music world.

probably one of the best albums released this season, autonomy games delivers to an impressive range of tastes, offering both gritty songs bordering on punk and hardcore like "cell," and their outstanding single, "solvency," as well as soft, almost ballads such as "remora."
fans from their earlier days will remember the songs, "a bad current," "gray flats,"and "toppled dynamo." these songs have been remastered and are back and better than ever before. ryan jackson's vocals definitely stand out on this album. he is an engaging singer, whose style is as interesting as the lyrics he sings. his vocals are refreshingly free from autotune, and the concepts he delivers are engaging, something hard to come by in a music scene where bands like brokencyde can sell albums.
in short, autonomy games is a fantastic album, and well worth a listen.

What's great about it: The lyrics, the music, the vibe
What's not so great: nothing.. it's perfection
Endless Hallway's latest release, and first full length, Autonomy Games is without a doubt one of the best albums I've heard to date! Listening to the demos they had on their myspace page and trying to compare those to this new album isn't possible! They have blown me away! The lyrics are incredible. The sounds are incredible. The feelings it leaves me with when i finish the last song of the album are INCREDIBLE! I truly can't wait to see what they have in-store for the future.

What's great about it: Intricate, creative rock n' roll that is sure to surprise
An amazing post, hardcore rock album that is perfect for driving around or getting pumped for a fight. Full of attitude and artistic sensibility, AUTONOMY GAMES does not contain one disappointing song. Even with all the raw emotion and energy pouring from each song, the band manages to keep a polish and professionalism to the sound as well. The record also maintains the somehow "outdated" idea of an album, and is a complete work from start to finish. If this album is any indicator, I can't wait to see these guys live. My favorite tracks are "Cell", "Solvency" and "Gamma"
