I've been buying these vacuum sealer bags for almost 10 years. They have always been great quality and done wonderfully for keeping Foods fresh that I was putting in the freezer. These bags are different they're thin they don't feel as durable and three out of the four packages of chicken breast that I vacuum sealed began to slow leak right away. I could hear the air hissing out of the bag but I could not find where it was coming from. I'm not sure why these are so thin and cheap feeling, but if this is the new standard for FoodSaver my business with them is over. I tried to email the customer service over a week ago about this issue to find out if I just got a bad batch or if this is the way the sealing bags now are.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

11 inch bags are the easiest and best to work with

I've ask my husband for a FoodSaver for years. He had no interest. Finally walking through the store one day I asked him again and he said fine and put it in our cart. Well I got the last laugh, because now HE comes to me and says honey would you please use the food saver and freeze this for me.He likes to hunt and fish and it's wonderful for freezing Wildgame along with many other products!

Perfect for one person

My daughter has a FoodSaver and I always thought that I, living alone, wouldn't need it, as I don't buy as many groceries for the freezer as she and her family of 5 do. Well, things changed for me, and I need surgery on my hand, so I ordered a FoodSaver of my own. For the past several weeks I have been cooking and freezing individual portions of ready-made meals and snacks. I now have a freezer full of good food (not TV dinners!) to eat during my recuperation. I'll be wearing a cast on my left hand for 6 weeks, so these bags will be easy to defrost, open, and then cook in the microwave. I am so glad I invested in my FoodSaver. For me, it is a Life Saver!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointing Quality

The rolls used to be 22' in length and now 16'. The quality of the material is not as thick as in the past. I will be exploring other food preservation options. They used to be the best.

Great Item!

I like this size because I can adjust it to the size I need. Get used to making the right size of a bag takes a little bit, but once you do it is easy. Great for Freezing meats and large quantities of vegetables

I have been buying these bags for about 3 years. I have also purchased the perforated rolls but I decided that I didn't need to anymore because with the 11" x 16' rolls I can make my own bags...any size I want. With smaller portions I can seal 3 across. Cut off the length I need, make folds in the bags and then seal on the folds and then one end. Insert the food and then seal the other end...PERFECT!!!

We use this product especially when we have camping plans, as we did this past Thanksgiving. With no oven in our trailer, we put all the pre-cooked food in these airtight bags and freeze. When the big day came, we put on big pots of boiling water and placed the bags in the pots until hot. All we had to do was open the bags, and there you are...an entire Thanksgiving feast! And only 2 big pots to dry! No fuss, no mess. We love this product.
