Doesnt appear to function as a UPS

The APC UPS i had before this lasted 3 years before my first issue and that was just that I needed to replace the battery.
This one completely died by day 3. No errors. Outlet was fine, wasnt overloaded (max load 50%, most of the time under 10%) and the 3rd night it started beeping. Got up in the morning to see that everything was off and the UPS was unresponsive.
Tried a different outlet, reset the breaker, unplugged everything. The only thing that got the UPS working again was to pull the battery and replace. And that is all the online help could suggest.
Its NOT a UPS if every 3 days you have to reset it. Im giving it one more try before returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My APC UPS was easy to install, but I was disappointed that their was no PowerChute software available for a Mac OS.

TV makes a terrible noise on battery

Bought this to replace an XS 1300 for my that died just out of warranty (how convenient). I use this to protect my TV/stereo/XBox/DirectTV devices against the frequent power glitches we get in my area. The new unit looks good and has good features but when on battery, my TV makes a terrible noise, probably from the power supply not being compatible with the stepped sine wave. I don't recall a similar noise with the previous unit but I can't be 100% sure. Anyway, I'm going to move this unit somewhere else and buy an adaptive sinewave output unit from "Brand C".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad fans

I ordered 4 units for our small office and had two sustain F08 failures within a couple of hours.
While the model has a clever & safe battery design, I'd trade the sleek exterior for squat yet reliable any day.
Also the model isn't listed online for software support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This UPS replaced a 1000 watt unit, but it can't keep the server running during a power outage. With only the server on it, drawing 140 watts, it can keep supply enough power during a self-test or actual power failure. The fan on the unit is loud too. I wish I had purchase a UPS locally, now I've got to call APC, hopefully ship the unit back and go through all the other return hassles.

I purchased one of these, but after a day of it plugged in, it started to beep, and came up with an error code on the front so I returned it.
The seem to be a great deal for the money, but I was turned off that it failed so quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The company have been using this product for 2 month and works great no noises or failures for now and I hope it will stay that way. It shuts down the server when the battery running low when the power is off, but I never used it cause we never had power outage. It an excellent product.
I would recommend this to a friend!
