I needed a printer to print cds and dvds. This printer fills the bill. I have another printer that can't print an image without adjustment, the A-50 worked great.

Epson Artisian 50 printer works well

My prior Epson R280 printer began having persistant clogged ink nozzle problems that couldn't be cleared by the cleaning cycle. Unable to find an easy way to fix it, I ordered the current replacement, the Artisian 50. I wanted this model because it is able to print on blank CDs and DVDs, and it does it well. It also does a nice job on general printouts. Basically, since I got it, the Artisian 50 has performed very well for me. Since it comes with a full set of ink cartridges, the printer is almost a throwaway compared to the cost of replacement ink cartridges. In fact, as with other ink jet printers, my only complaint is with the high cost of the ink cartridges. So, in summary, I highly recommend this printer.

This printer was just received, purchased as a replacement for an obsolete R-220 which had died. The Artisan 50 is much faster, uses Claria ink which is the best dye ink, and cost no more than repairing the old printer.
The speed is astonishing while the resolution is more than adequate for this 8-1/2" printer. It makes very good 8 x 10 prints. It also does a very fast job on draft copy texts.
I think this is probably the best performance-to-price choice presently on the market.

This printer is great, compact, fast and excellent output. Recommended by Red River Paper for their card stock and it is right on. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. Only downside is limited to only letter size paper.

Forget this printer. If you are printing every day documents, it takes forever. Forget trying to print photos - they are too distorted, color-wise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After many years of wonderful service, my Epson Stylus Pro R320 died. I've had Epson printers for nearly 30 years so I naturally went to Epson for my new printer.
In speaking with the rep at Epson and analyzing my printing needs, he suggested the Artisan 50. I couldn't be happier with it not only for ease of operation, small footprint but also the quality of the printing. I will grant you I haven't printed a photo yet, but I have no doubt it will be every bit as fabulous as my old printer.
In my book, and in my experience, an Epson printer is the ONLY way to go. The quality, performance and price cannot be beaten.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only had the printer for one day, I like that you can print envelopes, I like that it has more inks for better pictures, I like that you can use presentation papers
