UNEXPLAINED PROBLEMS

THE PRINTER PRINTS OK I GUESS. BUT A MAJOR HEADACHE I HAVE BEEN HAVING IS THE BANDING IN THE PRINTED PICTURE. YET WHEN THE NOZZLE PATTERN IS PRINTED, IT SHOWS NO GAPS, THEN ANOTHER PICTURE IS PRINTED AND IT SHOWS BANDS????
ALSO IT SEEMS THE INK LEVEL GOES DOWN AT THE SAME TIME FOR ALL THE COLORS???? I WOULD THINK IF MORE BLACK IS USED, BLACK WOULD SHOW LESS INK???

Problems, problems

I purchased an Artisan 50 IJ printer a few weeks ago. I immediately had problems printing CDs. I couldn't print a CD unless I first printed a picture. Then the printer would allow me to position the tray and load a CD without all the lights blinking. But now it will not print at all.
When it did print, the quality exceeded my expectations. Photos and CDs were certainly better than any printer I had purchased in the past. If I could just get it to work.

THE PAPER TRAY AND CD TRAY U HAVE TO KEEP TAKING OUT AND RE-INSTALLING TO GET LIGHTS TO GO OFF AND GETTING THE PRINTER TO CLEAR WHEN INSTALLING A INK CART. IS A NIGHTMARE LIKE A FOOL I BOUGHT 3 EPSON ARTISAN 50 AT THE SAME TIME ALL 3 OF THEM DO THE SAME THING--------BUYER BEWARE----

What.s an Artisan 50?

My Window's 7 does not recognize the Artisan 50. So it sits on my desk useless. What should have been an easy installation turned out to be a nightmare. It's a beast that that screwed up my computer and let in GOD only know's what that will probably cost me a lot of money to fix.

The Artisan 50 is pretty much the same piece of junk as the Stylus Photo R280 only with a different cover. Thus far I am having the same problems with the Artisan 50 as I had with the R280. Epson has done it again!
