Excellent Printer

I own a few other printers and purchased this one primarily because of its ability to print CD/DVD labels directly on the disks. I find the printer works great, but the software leave a little to be desired. When I scan the original disk, I find it takes a lot of effort to align the image in the print area. There should be a standard template that allows the user to select auto-align within the defined print dimensions for the disk.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been nothing but happy with my Epson Artisan 50 ink jet printer. I bought it to print DVD/CD covers and it does a great job of that. It's photo printing is outstanding. It is fast and prints very sharp images. Pound for pound I think it it a best buy for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Artisan 50 printer

I bought this printer solely for the purpose of printing directly on CDs and DVDs, and am extremely pleased with the results. Prior to buying the Artisan 50, I used to rely upon stick-on labels, but the images printed on label stock (I tried several different brands) are low contrast and unattractive in comparison with those I print now. Furthermore, printing directly on the disc eliminates the possibility that a label could become loose and ruin a drive.
I also have an Epron Pro 3880 that I use for printing all other images and an Epson Perfection 750 Pro scanner that I primarily use to scan my library of transparencies and negatives (from 5x4ins to 35mm.)
I am an avid fan of Epson products!

Fantastic printer

I've had many photo printers over the years and this is the best by far. It does a perfect job on printing photos, and on printable discs. I primarily wanted the ability to print on discs, and got excellent photo prints as a bonus. I did have to get the software for Windows 7 on line, it was not on the disc, but it downloaded and installed with no problems. I highly recommend this printer, especially if you don't want or need a multi-function machine.

Great for CD's & DVD's

This printer has really turned out great for me. I like doing unique labels for my personal slide shows. Then being able to print straight onto the DVD or CD is wonderful. The quality is high, and looks very professional. The only thing that I had to add was the Sure Thing CD Labeler Deluxe 5 program to fit my needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Printer

I bought this printer specifically for the direct to CD printing. I do audio production for my church and needed something faster than Lightscribe. Well this is much faster than Lightscribe and prettier too. It will print a CD in under 2 mins for all who have the same question as I had. Also something not mentioned anywhere. But from the software for printing CDs told me when I changed the inside printing diameter. That you need to let the ink dry for 24hrs. No big deal but good info to have. The CDs come out pretty dry so you can go ahead and put them in their case just be careful not to touch the printing surface. The colors and resolution are excellent as well! Great Job Epson!
