Great so far

This printer was the easiest to set-up of any I have had before. The software installed easily, and I was printing DVDs within half an hour of opening the box. I have not tried it for printing paper, as I bought it mostly for DVD printing. So far, I have printed about 30 DVDs without any problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received my Artisan 50 from Epson this afternoon and had it installed and up and running with absolutely no difficulty what so ever. The results on photographs were easily the equivalent of my old R380 which I dearly loved after almost 5 years of service. I did make a few changes in the software settings and the results I have received so far are superb!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Artisan 50 driver installation

The Artisan 50 is a great little economy priced printer that
is once the driver package is installed as this turns out to be the tough part, at least in my case. Following the instructions to the letter failed to install the driver. When asked to connect the printer via USB plug the driver
found the printer, at least I thought so, because another
message appeared near the end of the install stating printer not found. So with the driver CD still in the drive I decided to let windows find the driver software. The instructions which came with printer stated that this way was a no no., but this was the only way that the driver
installed successfully. So perhaps, at least for some people, this should be written up as an alternative choice.

I just set up the Artisan 50 printer that I bought yesterday. The set up was simple and straight forward and I had the printer running in less than 45 minutes.
The instructions were clear and made using the printer very simple. It was easy to understand how to set the on screen settings to allow the printer to do the best possible job on each printing task. I have only printed a few items so far but the quality of each of them was fantastic. So far I have been very pleased with this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just received my printer. I am not a computer guru but I found it extremely easy to set up and start printing. I've printed a couple of large photos and they look fantastic. I'm surprised at how inexpensive it was and hope it lasts!! So far, so good.

Excellent Photo Printer

I was looking for an addition to my Epson 4x6 photo printer in order to expand to the larger print sizes (up to 8.5x11). I use this printer daily for photo printing. This printer is an excellent, inexpensive interim choice if you are thinking about a more expensive unit; I plan to utilize it until upgrading to one of Epson's professional printers in 2011.
