ARTISIAN 837

This is for a Artisan 837 which was not in the menu. After printing 6 discs the heads cloged, and the head cleaning feature did not work.
This is my 3 Epson printer and gee, I wish I had #1 back.

Couldn't live without it

Have owned Epson printers for many years and have been only disappointed with one (the XP 850, but have already reviewed it earlier) Was willing to try Epson again, after I threw out the 850, because all of their other printers had been excellent. Chose the Artisan 50 because I wanted a dedicted printer just for my photography and it provides me with professional looking work that I can be proud of. The colors are vibrant and when used with Epson paper dry instantly and don't seem to fade at all. I also like the straight feed in back because it allows me to print on the backs of my greeting cards without bending or tearing them. I hope that they will continue to produce similar models for many years to come.

I think your ink is overpriced for the usage. Also, changing paper all the time is a pain with only one feed. All too often its prints streaks across a color print and the print heads need to be cleaned. The print quality is very good.

A good utility printer. Only problem is frequent poor quality of black cartridges.

This Printer Rocks

I purchased this printer based on the reviews by other Epson customers who purchased this exact one. I was not wrong in doing so. I love it. I print tons of tropical landscape photos and wanted a printer that offers Hi-Definition in its prints. This does. Plus, the six color ink cartridges that it uses truly capture the all the colors of my tropical photos. The Artisan 50 is very easy to install and operate and has just enough "bells and whistles" to make me happy. My only wish is that Epson continues to offer this printer for sale and not replace it with yet another model and then another model. Why mess with success? This printer is dependable and needs to remain available. I recommend it highly.

Nice idea but...

I was pleased that the Artisan series comes in a dedicated printer because I wanted one to print photos and CD labels, and I don't need another 4-in-1. This printer hooked up easily to a computer which is on a wireless network. I like how it prints photos and b&w text. But I have a devil of a time trying to get the CD tray in the right spot so that I can print CD labels. The plastic housing moves around a bit, and I fear that it is a problem caused by the flimsey plastic holders. If you are buying this printer in large part because of the CD option, you may want to look for another system.
