Amazing

I bought this as a gift to myself. I needed a camera that can keep up with my ever growing grandson. This was money well spent. My teenage daughter is trying to take it from me. I will be buying her one for her birthday next year. To everyone thinking about buying this camera I say do it you will be as pleased with it as I am.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

Great Zoom

I bought this camera because of the 12X optical zoom. It takes great pictures and its simple to use. Im pleased how you can take videos in 12x or more in HD. The only way I figured to do so is by setting the zoom you prefer then record. The quality of the videos are pretty good.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

no optical zoom

There is no optical zoom with video. This was the main reason that I purchased this camera. I'm going to return it now.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Missing features/settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this camera for six months and like it for still shots, which is the main purpose for this purchase. It is especially good for scenic shots and closeups of birds and such.
I took it last night to a graduation ceremony and was disappointed in the long latency time. The shutter response was slow and the recovery time between shots seemed too long for my liking.
I would buy it again. Generally, good value.

i wanted a camera that took really good quality pics, this camera was awful. Bad color and grainy pics. I researched for a while before buying and by the reviews this camera seemed like a great choice but it is NOT.....and also everyone was right about where the flash is located, it is soooo in the way, you forget that your finger is there when it tries to pop up.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, flash location.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as good as I would have hoped for the price

I would have thought for the price there would have been a built in flash and a VIEW FINDER. I cna survive the pop up flash as it may be needed for that lens in low light, but not having a view finder in bright sunlight is not good at all. I have missed many daylight pictures because I could not see what was on the LED.
Having said that I am very happy with the zoom and the low light pictures. The battery life is also good which was a pleasant surprise.
