I would have given 5-stars all around except for the fact that the set-up is not as easy as advertised.
After several hours of trying, I finally gave up and called Logitech Support. THEY WERE AMAZING! It took the rep just 43 minutes to set-up my four devices and 5 activities. So, if you are not able to set-up the device within 90-minutes, I recommend that you save your frustration and call Logitech Support. I AM GLAD I DID!
What's great about it: Replaced four remotes with one!
What's not so great: Set-up is not as easy as advertised.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super simple to set up. You do need to have the model and make of each piece of equipment you want to run, but the Logitech web site handles the rest. Its the first universal remote I have owned that actually works every thing.
I would prefer the numerical button to be on top of the dvd controls. Accessing channels is a bit awkward. The shape of the entire controller is a little weird.
What's great about it: Ease of set up
What's not so great: awkward placement of key pad
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good value, easy to set up and use

The harmony 700 is working very well having replaced 5 remote controllers for cable set top box, TV, DVD, VHS and Receiver. It took a little bit of careful effort to set up initially but the time spent was worth it and it now works perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised that a 14 year old uncommon model of VHS player that plays both NTSC and PAL was in their database. The Harmony has a very good balanced feel in the hand. I have not yet had the batteries go flat and charge them about once per week. The Harmony 700 feels durable - does not appear to attract dust or fingerprints. Overall very happy with this stylish looking product and would recommend it to anyone wanting to eliminate remote controller clutter. Only thing I would like to see is the Activities buttons illuminated.

SUPER EASY

When looking at reviews, I always read the worst ones first. They are pretty scary. I decided that the good outweighed the bad and made the purchase. I set up the remote with no problems. It was a piece of cake. I have Samsung Plasma, Panasonic Blu-Ray, Pace Cable Box, Toshiba DVD Recorder. All were set up in about 40 minutes. I didn't much care for the preset buttons that Harmony put on the 700, so I customized with ease. Great product!!!I now have ONE remote instead of four. And my wife has no problems with the new remote. SO EASY
What's great about it: SIMPLICITY!! Gets rid of lots of remotes cluttering up my coffee table.
What's not so great: Haven't found one thing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Combo Remote

The remote does a nice job combining and getting rid of multiple remotes. The only negative is that it uses rechargeable batteries and there is no obvious indication when batteries are getting low. This means that the first sign of a low battery is when only part of the components turn on (or off) and its hard to get everything back in sync using the original remotes..
What's great about it: Single remote for multiple devices
What's not so great: No low battery indication
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replacement for an 880 cradle Harmony

Good Buttons, backlight, looks very durable, after set up and full charge the battery was empty in 6 hours. This happened a couple of times then I had to do a "not out of the box" firnware download.
The charge should last about 30 days according to logitech.
I do have an open ticket with them as I need 30 days to see if this is defective.
Will update
What's great about it: still too new will update
What's not so great: had to contact logitech...then download special firmware for poor battery.will update in 30 days.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One remote does it all

My wife enjoys this remote very much, she does not need to understand several remotes to watch TV programs or watch a DVD. This remote allows several device to be powered up at the same time and in the sequence needed perform the task at hand. It does away with three or more remotes.
Easy to program form my iMAC with the free software.
Very pleased the performance so far.
What's great about it: east to program and use
What's not so great: Just a bit pricey
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the second Logitech I have had. I had the 880 which was a little better and did more but this works very well when I got used to it.
good buy
What's great about it: Works everthing
What's not so great: NO Docking pad
