Good When It Works

This is a great remote control, when it works. The problem is I have received one that had firmware issues which made it not charge the batteries. I then was given a replacement by the manufacturer, which had a button stop working and eventually had the charging issue, as well. the harmony 650 is almost the same remote, without using rechargeable batteries, and I owned one of those and that had buttons stop working, also. So it's hard to recommend it when I have had so many issues.
When it doesn't have those issues, however, it's very handy being able to set up the various combinations of button presses.

I've had this remote for nearly 4 years and it's just now starting to have some small issues (and by that I mean 2 buttons don't work all the time). Very customizable via software and easy to read illuminating buttons

The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because the average user may have a hard time configuring and programming this remote. But if you know what you're doing, you'll never have to buy another remote again! Well, you know, until this one wears down in 15-20 years, then you may want to upgrade. But until then, this is exactly what you need.

I bought a few of these for my Father, sister, and brother. After setting the remotes up for my family they were so impressed how pushing one button now turns on multiple devices and sets each device to the correct setting for each event they are wanting to happen. Example now my Dad pushes the button we setup to watch a movie and the remote sets the TV to on and hdmi 1 input while turning in the PS3 and turning on the tuner and setting the tuner to hdmi 2. Very convenient and fairly simple to set-up. I have recently been told the remote doesn't always turn the TV on the first try so that is why 4 stars.

I love this remote. It is easy to program and can be customized to exactly what you need. I have use the 700 for some years and it still works perfectly. Only needs charging every couple of months. Its only limitation is the number of devices you can program.

Good, But Fragile For Me

A great controller, but they don't last long before having issues. I have had a lot of the 700 and 650 ones and have had issues with buttons stopping working well if you don't press them hard. Otherwise, they are great.
