I have several Harmony remotes in various models and have been satisfied in general with their performance. They greatly simplify operation of a home theater setup with several components. In my opinion the Harmony remotes are a bit expensive, perhaps because competition is limited. The setup takes 20 or 30 minutes assuming you have several devices (TV, receiver, cable box, Apple TV, DVD player), but Logitech's equipment database is large and included all of my devices. I am giving lower marks for durability because the display went out on one of my remotes after about 2 years, requiring the unit to be replaced. In fairness to Logitech, the 1-year warranty had expired and they offered me 50% off on the replacement. Still, the remote received only light usage and I expected it to last longer than 2 years.
What's great about it: Great for managing multiple audio/video devices with one touch control
What's not so great: My display failed after 2 years

I had heard of the Harmony remote controls for years but shied away from purchasing one because I thought there was no way it would be worth the money. As time passed and more components were added to our home theater setup, I grew increasingly frustrated with the "universal" remote offered by our cable provider that really wasn't universal at all and had little to no flexibility.
Now that we finally purchased a Harmony remote, I'm kicking myself not getting one many years ago. The online setup through the computer is a breeze and offers a lot of additional flexibility that I haven't even begun to fully explore. The remote truly controls our HDTV, "Smart" Blu-Ray Player, HD cable box, and sound bar with subwoofer and I don't have to worry about what order to press buttons - it really does all the work for us.
I'm especially grateful for the information provided by Best Buy when purchasing the remote. If you're at all still skeptical about the capabilities of this remote, make sure to talk to a Best Buy representative about what components you have and how you use them. They'll help you find the right remote for your situation without spending more money than you need. Logitech has many impressive models, but don't convince yourself you need more than you actually do.
What's great about it: Great value, easy setup, consistent performance
What's not so great: No indication of remaining rechargeable battery life

Great unit for the sale price. It sometimes has a problem powering down all units. It does find this problem though and will ask for help with troubleshooting to power them down.
What's great about it: My wife can understand it
What's not so great: It does not always power all items off

If you're familiar with Harmony/Logitech remotes, you'll most likely enjoy this one. Once it's set up properly it will do a great job at controlling multiple components. However, it's kinda expensive. See if you can catch it on sale.
What's great about it: Does a Great Job after Set-up

This is now my second Harmony remote. My first one was purchased as a refurbished unit from a popular online electronics retailer and worked great for many years. But it finally bit the dust. Without hesitation, I bought another Logitech Harmony remote.
This remote has a great feel in the hand and is light-weight but doesn't feel cheap. The buttons are nice and rubbery and have a great tactile feel when pressed. Response time between pressing a button and the action being performed on the device is much better than my previous Harmony remote.
The remote uses (and comes with) re-chargeable AA batteries. You can use a regular battery charger or you can plug a micro-USB (similar to what most cell phones use to charge) cable into the remote to begin charging. Of course, you can use standard AA batteries as well - just don't try to recharge those.
The only downside of this newer remote is the lack of a charging/docking station. My old Harmony remote came with a slim and sleek docking station battery charger that fit neatly into my entertainment center. You would just lay the remote on top of the dock and it would begin charging. No need to fuss around with finding and plugging in a micro-USB cable.
What's great about it: One button control over all devices.

I'm very pleased with the ease of use and feel of this device. The fit and finish of this universal remote is quite excellent, and the set up was a relative breeze. My only criticism is that this version (there are several - both past and present Logitech Universal Remotes) does not have an indicator LED to let you know at a glance when command strings have been completely sent to your various devices. Without knowing this, there is a chance that you'll mistakenly point the remote away too soon from the intended receivers. This is only a minor criticism; I would definitely buy this again.
What's great about it: Well constructed, easy to use
What's not so great: No indication when transmitting signals
