I enjoyed a lower model device for years, and upgraded to accommodate more devices. This device is even easier to hold/see/use (the key labels are very clear with backlighting), and I loved it.
Problem: The software wouldn't allow me to add more than six devices, and Logitech Tech Support just told me that it's not a software bug. Even the packaging is incorrect -- this model handles a max of 6 devices, not 8. I've alerted Best Buy Customer Support separately so they can update the web page here.
What's great about it: Fairly easy set-up; rechargeable; great automatic backlighting; Best Buy's sale price is very attractive!
What's not so great: Incorrect features on packaging.

This remote is so easy! I just have to push a button to watch TV, push another button to watch a DVD and push another button to watch my Roku. No more fumbling with multiple remotes. Someone should have thought of this years ago.

The setup is: Go to the web site, download the big software application onto your PC and install it. This application lets you choose your devices (TV,DVD etc), it then pushes all their settings and your choices into the remote using the USB cable you plug into the front of the remote.
Using it: The buttons on the remote will control virtually all the features of each device. The way you use it is primarily by "activity". When I choose to "Watch TV", it turns on the TV, the Cable Box and my Amplifier. It does not turn on my DVD. The volume control uses the amplifier, the channel change uses the cable box. The Guide, Info and Menu all work on the Cable box.
On my cable box I like to use the Favorites button, but there is no such button on the remote, so they have setup the screen with one of the unlabeled buttons as "Fav".
Another thing I needed to do is to use closed captioning. On my TV's remote that is the "display" button. I was easily able to configure the "Watch TV" activity to use the unused BLUE button on the remote, to send the appropriate closed captioning command to my TV.
Similarly I was able to setup my DVD's subtitle button on the same unused BLUE button on the remote for the activity of "Watch a Movie".
I still had to keep my old remotes handy while I was doing the configuration, because after you reprogram the remote it expects all the devices to be powered off. However, after my setup is perfected I will take the batteries out of the remotes and store them away.
I am looking forward to getting my new flat screen HD TV and Media Player and I know that it will be a simple process to reprogram my remote to use these new devices.
By the way, the Western Digital Media Player (model "WD TV Live Plus") was listed in the Logitech PC application as a Media Center PC. Once I guessed this I was happy, but they need to add a new category.
What's great about it: Total Configuration, it gets better every day! So intuitive to use.

Excellent remote. I had the 510 but it just recently crapped out. I had it for 2 years and really liked it. It was very durable and held up well for that time span. I purchased the Harmony One expecting alot seeing how I was able to get a price check to match the online $169.99 offer. I brought it home, set it up and it didn't even work. It would turn on the wrong options and vice versa. It was way too sensitive and I also wasn't crazy about the feel of the plastic coating, it looks cheap. When returned the 700 model seemed obvious after reading so many positive reviews by top critics about that and boy I wasn't disappointed. Better look, better feel, and much more durable than the Harmony One. Most importantly very flawless. Don't waste your money if you don't need 15 devices. This product is great! Write down your model numbers, enter them on the program and enjoy! It doesn't take much to know how to set this up. Highly recommended. Again, excellent product.
What's great about it: Quite flawless, durable and a great matte black finish. Only a few minor issues that can be solved with the HELP icon.
What's not so great: Nothing major. It's just about perfect.

As I added components to my LCD TV there were more and more remotes I needed. I only needed a couple of buttons on one but I had no other way to change the aspect or source. Adding a surround sound system was the last straw. I could never remember which channel I had connected the DVD player, etc! And my wife couldn't figure out how to play a DVD or even watch a TV program. The complications were driving me nuts! When I heard that there was a universal remote that could make it easy again I figured I had nothing to lose. I was skeptical but the BEST BUY salesman was patient with me and explained that it could do what it was advertised to do.
I left it in the bag for a week or so out of fear, but I finally got it out of the wrapping and hooked it up to my PC and logged into the Logitech website. It was very clear and took me through the process step by step. I had my fingers crossed when I first pushed the "Watch TV" button but all three components turned on, switched to the right settings and I was watching TV! I pushed the "Watch DVD" and the player turned on, the cable box switched off, the TV source changed, the sound amp source changed and I was watching a DVD! It was Magic! I love this thing!
What's great about it: Cool online setup system!
What's not so great: Collecting the needed info about my components

I've gone through a lot of remotes to find the right one that can easily be used for all 5 of my devices. This is the first remote that I absolutely do not need to use any of the other remotes to do a thing. Love it!
What's great about it: This remote is the easiest to set up and to use.

I bought this for the same reason that everyone else buys one of these: to cut down on the number of remotes in the living room. I'm very technically savvy, so the setup was a breeze for me, but I can see how someone who doesn't automatically know how to find the model number of all of their devices. Once it's set up (and, if you have a PS3 like I do, you also have the adapter), it's very easy to use.
There are a few slight downsides. For one thing, it only seems to need to be charged right in the middle of when we're using it. I'm not happy with Logitech's choice of Ni-MH batteries, so that you have to wait for it to die completely before you can charge it or else they'll develop a memory. The only other gripe we have is that sometimes it doesn't turn things off correctly. Half the time the PS3 comes on when we wanted to use the TV and the DirecTV receiver. The "Help" button does fix it easily, so it is a minor annoyance.
Outside of those two things, however, this remote is a wonderful piece of equipment and I highly recommend it. My wife and I are very pleased with it.
What's great about it: It works with every device that we have
What's not so great: Battery seems to need charge at worst times, setup could be tricky for novices

This remote does everything and more. The only problem would be if you had more than 6 devices to control. Most don't. Setup is easy and straight forward. Unfortunately this remote does not work with my BOSE system. But I have a new Samsung LED 3D tv with a 3D SAMSUNG DVD player and the need for those 2 remotes is negated with the Harmony 700. All functions are handlee.
What's great about it: Easy to Use and Very Flexible
What's not so great: Won't work with my BOSE system
