Great remote for the price, poor software app.

Bought this remote to replace a Harmony xbox 360 remote that I've had for years. Got this on black Friday for a good price. I transferred the settings from my old remote to the new one using the My Harmony desktop app. I have a fairly complex setup ( XBOX, PS3, HDMI switch, audio switch, amplifier, sat box, TV,). Took about I day to fine tune the remote. I don't know if the average person would have the patience to do the setup using the software. The software is very non-intuitive. Takes a lot of trial and error to get things set up correctly.

For the price this is a great remote, replaced 4 remotes that I had in the living room with just this one. And with rechargeable batteries, won't have to worry about those for a while. A little learning curve, but wouldn't give it up now.

This devise does exactly what I needed it for. It turns my TV, Direct TV Receiver, and Surround sound on with the click of 1 button. If I want to watch a movie on my DVD player I click another button and it turns on my DVD player, TV and surround sound system on, and turns off what I dont need on. If I have any problem I just click a button. It also has rechargeable batteries.

Good remote for basic use

Good base remotes for standard home entertainment use. Already own similar model from a few years ago. Logitech has updated website from before for easier remote setup. Only takes about 15 minutes to setup 4 items and functions. Having trouble with remote cycling though inputs on Insignia 39" 720p HDTV, but having spent enough time troubleshooting yet to see if it will improve or always be a problem. Overall good remote, easy setup. Most buttons light up, but buttons for changing use ( Watch TV, Watch a Movie, etc.) do not so changing in dark bedroom is a challenge.
