Great remote, worth every penny. Purchased it to replace the 650 I had previously and it was worth the investment. Controls 8 devices and is rechargeable which is great.

This is my first experience with a universal remote. Works very well with all components. Like the way it lights up with a little shake so you can see it in the dark room. Didn't program it as the Geek Squad took care of that so don't know how complicated that process is compared to others, but Geek Squad likes it & that was good enough for me.

I am a tech savvy guy and love techy stuff, but this remote was ridiculous to set up and then it didn't work well w/my new Vizio TV. Had an All in 1 remote that was about 6 years old that works better w/my components than the Logitec. I'm sure the Harmony 700 has redeeming qualities, but it just wasn't for me.
What's great about it: rechargable
What's not so great: setup online only
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent remote, but not whats described

Our Harmony 550 is starting to fail, some of the buttons are getting inconsistent. This one looks to be a decent replacement, its claimed to support 8 devices, the old one did 15 (i don't need that many). this ones rechargable. this one had dedicated color buttons and the layout is a bit more logical. the price, on sale ($90ish) was about what the last one was.
The problem is that this product only actually supports 6 devices, i have 7. i may add another device in the future, so i'd like 8. but six meant i had to remove the wii from the setup. and no option for more in the future. so points off.
the second problem i had was that, simply, the OK button did not work out of the box. if i set up a 'soft' button up by the lcd, that one worked, but it was very clumsy to operate. Tech support confirmed it was not simply a setting issue.
the color buttons look fine in normal room lighting, but when backlit dont look like the same colors. this is a bit confusing.
the device was returned for a Harmony one. although im not happy with that one either. id actually like another 550.
What's great about it: Harmony System usually works well
What's not so great: Only Supports 6 devices
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
