I used to have the the Harmony One 900 until I was no longer able to update it. The Harmony 700 looks like the Harmony One, same ergonomic design and button placement. It only lacks the touch screen & RF feature the Harmony One had. Other than that it works just as well...I originally paid $119 for it but thanks to a price drop at Best Buy I was able to get credit for the purchase price of $49. Very fine remote.

Expensive but nice to only have one remote. Set up was by Geek Squad. Have to keep it aimed at unit until programing takes place. Sometimes it turns off the cable box requiring me to manually turn the box on.

Skeptical about the product, but purchased it anyway to see if I could eliminate my 4 remote controls. Found it very easy to set-up with great software to guide you through the process. It works as promised and I love it. Wish I would have made the purchase earlier. Also, great price from Best Buy.

I do often have to use the "Help" button because after I push the device button that I want (Watch TV, for example) the device does not come on. Help fixes it, but it is frustrating.
What's great about it: Watching devices without separate remotes
What's not so great: Have to use "Help" often in order to get the device to turn on

If you're looking for a remote to control all your devices, even the devices you just purchased yesterday (because it uses the Internet to keep its database of new devices on the market accurate), then this Harmony 700 is for you. It's reasonably priced, but more importantly it is truly easy to program. Just connect it to your computer (I use a laptop since I can test it in the room where the equipment is), then go to www.myharmony.com, say yes to a simple download and then the site will walk you through the very easy setup.
The color LCD screen is nice and the remote has enough unique buttons, including the four colored buttons (red, blue, green, yellow) that are becoming more common on new remotes (including my Panasonic BluRay).
The only thing is that you need is to write down the make and model numbers on all your equipment before you start programming. I now write them down BEFORE I mount the equipment in my entertainment center (I had to pull out my BluRay in order to get to the model number on the sticker in back).
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to setup, built well.
What's not so great: The jack where you plug the charging/USB cord on the device itself is a little fragile.
