Maybe if you have all new technology, it would work great. However, on some of my units, it does not control at all. I can manually control each unit with the remote. Wish it would "learn" better.
What's great about it: What it will control does great
What's not so great: There is still a manual proponent to it at times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great remote for a good price

It's a very good remote. Things I like:
- has 4 coloured buttons (used on many devices these days)
- great functionality and programming through Logitech software
- feels good in the hand
- bright colour display
- all the button you need, plus some extras
- Uses a standard USB cable and connector (non-proprietary)
- Uses standard AA rechargeable batteries
Things that could be better:
- should have a charging dock so you don't have to plug in the charging cable all the time
- could control more devices than 6 through Logitech's software
Overall, I'm really happy I bought one, and my wife likes it too - we each have our own.
What's great about it: It has all the features you need and some extras that you would want.
What's not so great: It really should have had a charging dock so you don't have to plug in the cable all the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great remote

I've never used a universal remote until I recently bought this one. It's awesome. Easy to set up and works great. I only have to point the remote to the TV, not my blu-Ray player or anything else. I love how the remote screen and buttons light up when you pick up the remote. Definitely worth the money. Now, many remotes turned into one remote!

control works swimmingly the only thing is that I didn't realise and only supports 7 teams to the but of truth which they have connected work great (apple tv, tv box cable, ps3, blu ray, etc) batteries for the first charge only lasted a week, but at this point they have almost 2 weeks than not been necessary to rechargethe weight is comfortable and avoids having a disorder of controls throughout the room, also update the software is very comfortable you should only install the program and find the team to synchronize in my case did since OSX and it worked perfect
