I've had Logitech's Harmony 670 model for years and love it. Easy to set-up, easier to use and has performed flawlessly until recently. It has survived multiple drops from my family and I'm certain the last has sealed it's fate... it still works but is no longer 'visible' to my computer and therefore I cannot update it to some new equipment.
This model uses the same great program to set-up and I like the addition of the 4 colored buttons that are assignable to nearly any function.
My only gripes for the 700 are:
1. The activity buttons at the top are not illuminated like the rest of the buttons beneath.
2. The favorite channel function is limited to 23 channels. I understand that it's intended for favorites, but in a house with 2 adults and 3 children 23 channels get gobbled-up pretty quickly.
3. This model uses a unique USB connection to charge the included rechargable batteries (Eneloop AA's) and to connect for programming. I have some concern about the long-term durability of this connection when used regularly to charge the batteries.
What's great about it: Love the thin, ergonomic feel

Awesome remote, it took the place of 4 remotes that I was having to use. I have a samsung HDTV, panasonic blue-ray player, yamaha RX-V465 a/v receiver, direct tv satelite box. After purchasing the remote I was a little worried about the set up, because the actual manual that came with the remote is only ten pages (in english), but found that once I was online with logitech's web site, It was so simple that even a dumb country boy like myself could do it, (only took about 45 minutes from start to finish) Controls everything just fine with the push of a single button. Although the remote does not control any function of the nintendo Wii, you can still set everything else up (tv,a/v receiver) through the set up procedure online to be turned on by the remote and set to the proper channel by simply pushing play game, and the only thing you have to do is turn the Wii on. Thanks logitech for making this remote so simple that those of us who are not tech savy in the least can set up and operate this remote.

This remote is possibly the coolest device that anyone could ever own. I just recieved it as a birthday gift and it is by far the coolest thing ever. It works great, easy to set up, and it is rechargeable. The fact that this remote can do anything you want it to, makes me get all geeked out. I had four remotes and this one eliminated the clutter of remotes on my table. It is now 1:30am, and I am going to stay up and mess with it because it is just that cool. If you ever have the need to buy a universal remote, buy this one, you will not regret it!
What's great about it: Very easy to use, set up and get the hang of.

I've been through at least 5 different so-called Universal and Learning remotes, and I've never found one that could control my Oppo DVD player, and I've never been satisfied with the way they controlled some of my other offbeat equipment. This sucker controls EVERYTHING, with all the common buttons automatically programmed for you and all the oddball buttons available on scrolling menus !!! I absolutely love it, and its my favorite electronic accessory ever. No, it's not built like a tank, but show me the remote control that is. It's high quality plastic, well built and solid, but it's also light and thin by design. This is a sophisticated piece of electronics, so treat it with a little respect and it should last as long as any other remote. If your kids keep dropping it, let them use the original remotes and keep the nice one locked up for yourself. With ridiculously easy onscreen programming and tons of customizable options, you have to have one of these or its big brothers. Totally worth it.
What's great about it: It does everything I want it to do

Very happy with this remote. I originally tried the AR160, I should have heeded the reviews. I spent hours with that remote trying to get it to function reliably and perform the activities I wanted. I finally gave up and returned it. I got this remote and from the time I got it home to the time I had it controlling six devices and performing 4 activities was less than one hour. The user interface on your PC is awesome and super straight forward. Its cool how the remote has its own help button to self correct any issues you might encounter and fix them on the spot. Bypass the AR remotes and go for this one. Some might cost less, but this is far better.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to setup and to use

I really works great. I can finally store those other remotes. Setup was easy and quick. It runs my av receiver. My Verizon HD pvr my Samsung blue ray player and my xm receiver. All functions are available. I don't like how all the weight is in the bottom. It is kind of off balance to hold. And I think perhaps the 4 way bottom selector and the page up/down buttons should be reversed. Bot otherwise I am finally happy with this device.

Very easy to program, multifunction remote. The unit will sometimes get it wrong when turning devices on and off, but is simple to correct. At the sale price, a great solution to the 4 - 5 remotes we were using.
