Geek Squad was out twice to fix it and it never did work properly. It would function about 75% of the time and not turn on or off all the correct units. It would not recharge the batteries either so I exchanged it for a Harmony One (more money) but it does work OK. Although I purchased it from the Geek Squad I had to return it to a store and then buy an upgrade. Not a customer friendly system.

Logitech - Harmony Advanced Universal Remote is the simplest of all the universal remotes to program. Plus, it has a handy help button that can walk you through steps to fix the problem. It has an easy website to set-up your remote and remember your preferences.

Unfortunately, Logitech does not support their products well. If you read blog reviews, you will see that the buttons fail intermittently within 6-8 months after purchase. On-Off switch, Volume buttons, all of them. Emails to Logitech have gone unanswered. Unless you don't mind buying a new unit every 6 months or so, then try for yourself.
What's great about it: Works for 1st 6 mos
What's not so great: Fails after 6 months, no reponse from Logitech

This is supposed to be a re-chargeable remote but it will not recharge. I get an "unable to charge" message 99% of the time, so I charge the batteries using a different source or use regular batteries instead. Logitech has been unwilling to replace it. According to Logitech, they have discontinued it. Apparently this has been a problem with others.

This is my second Harmony remote. My first one (the original) worked great but I recently got all new AV gear and wanted a newer version of the Harmony.
I have 4 devices and I'm sure I'll get a 5th, so this fit perfectly (6 is the limit). The next higher price/more feature version is the Harmony One and the extra features weren't necessary. But after paying $2500 for my new gear, an extra $100 for the Harmony One wouldn't have been a big deal except I hated the shiny black fingerprint magnet finish.
The 700 has a matte finish that feels good in the hand and doesn't pick up smudges, etc. The keys are kind of rubbery and the spring is just right – so using it is a pleasure. The key layout is very logical and intuitive. I like the slight figure 8 shape and the balance. From an ergonomic point of view, the design is excellent.
The device set-up is the same across Harmony remotes (as far as I know) and is pretty good. I wish there was a bit more control over sequence and timing. My receiver, TiVo, and Blu-Ray have a lot of features that require this kind of tweaking. Maybe I just haven't figured out how to do it yet.
My old Harmony used a cradle for recharging which was drop-dead simple to use. I keep the recharger in a cabinet and plugging in the mini-USB in a dark cabinet is kind of hit-or-miss. But the battery life is excellent so this is a minor annoyance.
I think the ergonomic features of the 700 make this the best Harmony irrespective of price.
What's great about it: Does everything I need it to do, ergonomics are excellent
What's not so great: Should use a cradle, not plug-in for recharge

I bought this remote and set it up last night in 45 minutes of so. The reason it took so long is I have an older CD player that I wanted to be able to control with this device. When I first bought the CD player it did not come with a remote but this 700 makes it work as though it did; To program the remote and set-up macros is ver y, very easy. Just go to the webpage that they make available and tell them the equipment that you will be using. The program will search it out and the new remote will have all the functions like the one that came with it does. It was somewhat of a hassle to return the URC that I bought but they finally did let me exchange for this one. The only drawback is I paid $150 for the URC and it had been on sale recently and they gave me the sale price, It cost me $20 because of that but well worth since the original was a piece of junk. Here is the info on the URC.
Universal Remote Control - Digital Universal Remote - Black/Silver Model: URC-R50 | SKU: 8993459
DO NOT BUY THE URC. IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND A WASTE OF MONEY. The 700 only controls 6 devices. The URC claims to control 18 but I could not get it to control even one.
What's great about it: Ease of set-up. Finds the latest software for the remote and your operating system. Got rid of 7 remotes.
What's not so great: Is a little pricey but got rid of the clutter that the remotes cause. This was a very good purchase. Would buy again.

The remote is very easy to use as all you have to do is set up how you want it to work on your computer and plug it into the usb port. Additionally it has all the abilities that each individual remote had for controlling components. This remote has a rechargable battery that last me about 2 weeks before it must be recharged.
