Great Home Theater Remote

I pulled the trigger on this when it went on sale at Best Buy. I'm not using RF, so this IR unit was a better value for me.
After installing the software, set up and programming is a breeze. Common functions are recognized (like DVR "List" and "A","B",'C") and automatically added to the color screen. As a result, I haven't had to do any customizations.
Troubleshooting is easy. Prompts will ask what the problem is and resend the signals to try to correct. Used this to replace projection TV remote, DVR remote, DVD remote, A/V receiver and PS3 controller (with the add-on Logitech adapter).
Backlighting is triggered when you move the remote - a nice feature. One flaw is that the main buttons "Watch TV", "Listen to Music", etc. are not back lit. Charges via USB, but there's no battery indicator. Seems to have a lengthy charge life, though.
Was tempted by the Harmony One, but this one does the trick. Works great so far - happy with my purchase.
What's great about it: Large device database. No loss of common device functions. Motion sensing back light.
What's not so great: No charge indicator. Have to install software on PC.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The wife remote!

Bottom line is the remote works. I have tried different remotes with different software for the programing. Harmony has good software far better than the majority I have come across. Be patient it will be worth it. Setup on any media surround type setups with multiple devices to learn will take time. After you begin the software training so to speak you begin to get a sense on how it all works together and how you want certain functions to work. The more detailed you want the remote to function your equipment you begin to see how much more functional everything begins to work easier. I found myself making minor tweaks quite often after my initial setup. And most of those just for my own personal functionality. Most of the setup I did within a day and tested it with my wife and got a Happy grin and thumbs up! I also have the Harmony 900 for another surround setup and love that remote too. Although the majority of the remote had back lighting, buttons on the top above the LCD screen did not which made no sense from an otherwise great remote.
What's great about it: Ease of use...
What's not so great: Setup does take time

This is not as good a remote as Logitech's top of the line unit, but for the price it is first rate. Logitech makes setup very easy to accomplish.
What's great about it: Very easy to set up, easy to use
What's not so great: Lack of custom programming features
I would recommend this to a friend!

I did a little research and sometimes when you purchase something it dosent always work like it says, but the Harmony 700 delivers. Set up was painless,works great with my PS3(Adapter sold seperately), handles all my devices even my reciever which is about 13 years old. This remote can do everything the orignal one can do and more. I would have given durabilty 5 stars, but I just bought it. If you are looking for a remote that can handle up to six devices I dont think you will find a better one for the price!
What's great about it: Easy to set up, Good price, Works great with my PS3 (Adapter sold saperatly)
What's not so great: Can only connect 6 devices
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the first smart remote I have ever owned. I found that this remote was easy to set up and use. I highly recomend this remote.

We LOVE this remote. We had, minimally, two remotes that we had to use daily to turn on our dish, TV, and surround sound. NOW, one button on the Logitech remote and all of these components turn on. It is a wonderful remote and has been easy to learn to navigate. I would recommend this remote control for sure!!
What's great about it: One touch and all components come on
What's not so great: Haven't discovered anything yet!

So Far So Good

Just purchased this for my wifes birthday. Took less than an hour to set up and worked great! Set up was a breeze - just enter your model numbers and you are off to the races.
Set up for a LG 42" LCD, LG Blu Ray and a Dish Network DVR625. It operates all three perfectly. Finally just one remote for the three. Can't wait to get the new Stereo/Receiver and see how it works with that..
I would definitely recommend this remote. Although, it is a little pricey for a remote. . . but, it does work great!
What's great about it: Easy Set Up, Controls Everything, One Touch and Everything is on
What's not so great: Nothing so far

great remote

It was fairly easy to set up. The only issue that I'm having is with the Vizio sound bar. It always opens appropriately when returning to the same activity. When changing to different activities or starting a new activity, the input on the sound bar can only be changed with the aid of the help menu, it usually takes several attempts to change to the appropriate input. Otherwise, it is still much easier and more convenient than using multiple remotes.
What's great about it: ability to control multiple devices with one remote
What's not so great: does not seem to recognize vizio sound bar with out use of help menu
I would recommend this to a friend!
