I bought this for my husband at Christmas and it has been his favorite gift! The setup is SO easy and the product is SMART!. You plug the remote into your PC and gather all your device model numbers. It downloads all the software and even knows what types of devices need to be connected for each "activity". So when I say "Watch TV" it knows I want to turn on my TV and my receiver (using proper setting). We even hooked up our Roku box and for the most part can control it.
And talk about smart...it noticed that a couple times our receiver hadn't turned on during an activity. It put a message on the screen and it sent out a signal to re-establish connection and haven't had any problems since! This device has eliminated 5 remotes in our theatre room and was such a great investment!! I'd highly recommend this product to anyone.
What's great about it: Simple setup

Love logitech remotes, this was an upgrade from a previous remote about 4 years old. Super easy setup all done via the web, awesome. Rechargeable batteries another huge plus. Love the remote.

What's not so great: none so far

A Technological Miracle!

One remote conquers all! Could come with better instructions, but if you make a diagram of how your system is wired BEFORE you go online to program it, no problem. For advanced device specific functions (the ones most people pay for then never use) you have to go to the online user guides, but all the basics are there. Select "Watch BluRay Movie" it turns off the devices not required, turns on the required devices with all the proper settings, in the proper order so that everything is in sync. I LOVE this thing!
What's great about it: One remote conquers all!
What's not so great: Setup directions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great remote but a few problems.

This remote was a replacement for an older version. It was a model 550. The 550 had the capacity for 15 devices. The 700 states on the package that you can use up to 8 devices. This is not really true. If you set this up as a new account you can only have 6 devices. Since I was replacing the 550, I used the account I already had and choose "replace remote". At that point it downloaded my decices and setting for my old remote, including 8 devices. But if you delete any divices it will not let you add any more than 6. Also, this remote does not have as much IR power as the 550. My have to point directly at devices. Except for the above this is a great remote that is very easy top program and does a great job of controling your equipment. I really love the harmony remotes.
What's great about it: Easy to program and use.
What's not so great: Does not allow you to program 8 devices as stated on the package.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Logitech Harmony 700 Remote is the most easily programmable remote I've ever used. Along with the intuitive Help feature to resolve any incomplete shutdowns or startups, it seems to have the most thorough database of devices for any remote that operates different vendor appliances(TV, Cable Box, Internet Radio, Blue-Ray DVD etc.).
What's great about it: One button launch control for watching TV, Listen to Music, Watch Movie.
What's not so great: Possibly Battery Life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best universal remote I have had so far. Control's all devices with ease, and very easy to set up. I've used it for a month or so now, no issues at all. As long as you set everything up properly you will not have any issues (even if you make a mistake, remote works with you to correct them). Great purchase for the price!
What's great about it: Ease of use, controls and options, comes with a charger
What's not so great: N/A
