Love the Harmony

This was the replacement for previous harmony. Installation was easy since the product asked if it was replacing another and was able to pick up all the information for the equipment with which it was being used without reentering the serial #'s etc. Also like the fact charging the unit uses an universal charger cord which came with the unit. Makes watching movies, Tv, etc so much easier.

We had the Harmony 650 and loved it so when that remote started spazzing out, we knew we wanted to stay with a harmony. We bought the 700 and like it, however trying to customize the LCD screen is pretty much impossible. There is no way to put the activities in the order YOU as a consumer want. After talking to customer support from Logitech, they confirmed that they have new software that orders the activities how it feels you should want the, and there is nothing you can do about it.

I have been trying to get the Harmony to operate such dissimilar items, that it struggles to turn them all on or all off all of the time. I have a Samsung Smart TV, Channel Master DVR, Sony Blueray and a Yamaha receiver. The Harmony turns them on some of the time but the receiver changes inputs for some reason and I get no video or audio unless I go thru the help menu and change the input back to HDMI 1. Some of the time it will not turn on or off the Channel Master DVR and that has to be done thru the help menu as well. All in all it is a good product and it helps eliminate many of the remotes laying around.

The remote was exceptionally easy to program via a PC. It works extremely well. On the rare occasion that one unit doesn;'t turn on or off as expected, just push the "help" button and the remote knows what to do. I also appreciated the packaging. The blister pack is perforated on the back, just peel it open!
