Works well, detailed display, nice and loud. Best of all its rechargeable so no need to buy batteries for it. Works best near windows or outside. Hard to get a signal inside a building with few windows.

This is a great portable HD radio, that really does exceed my high expectations. To begin with, this product came with great value- an HD radio for $50, I wish I got it on sale for $39!
The sound quality isn't completely comparable to the HD radio in my car, or satellite radio (claimed to be CD quality), but it's great for something so portable. The accessories (earphones, armband) aren't the best, and the fact that there is no AM HD, can be disappointing, but overall it is worth it. The buttons don't seem they are capable of being "roughed-up" but there are okay if you don't take this camping or hiking or something similar.
The reception seems great! There is a radio station broadcasting in HD about 85 miles from where I live, and the signals have to pass through many tall buildings and urban and sub-urban areas to get to my house. My car HD radio won't pick up HD until about we are in Coral Springs, FL, 25 miles north from Fort Lauderdale, FL, which is around where I live. This radio is just about the same in performance. It captures local HD stations (about 20-40 miles away) clearly, with very few, if any, very short temporary signal losses.
What's great about it: Great value, good reception
What's not so great: No AM HD, armband and earphones not nice

Well, I more or less knew what I was getting into here, so my expectations weren't really too high. All in all, it's a nice little radio that is good in any market where HD radio is prevalent. Unfortunately, as I understand it, the FCC isn't yet allowing stations to broadcast at full strength, so the reception is spotty. But, when it is able to receive HD broadcasts (which for me is 75% of the time), the sound is great! I'm happy enough...

I have had the HD radio for more than a year, and I'm more than pleased with it. Reception is good the signals are steady. We are fortunate to have 3 public radio stations, each having HD signals that also provide alternative channels that offer different programs. The commercial stations serve up their usual pablum. I often plug the radio into the car radio and enjoy having the HD access. Signal degredation is infrequent until I get beyond urban areas. I think that battery life (<10 hrs) could be longer - I get nearly 18 hrs out of my MP-3 player. And, while l like the arm band for warm weather walking, a design that would allow a lanyard would offer flexibility. And, EQ controls could help for differences among earphones. For HD radio there is no better price value.
What's great about it: Price, compactness, sound, flexibility

I bought mine used through an Amazon.com merchant. I was delighted when I examined it. It was small, high-tech with a color LCD screen and great sound. I turned it off to charge, using an iPhone plug with a USB jack. When I went back to it less than an hour later, there was no sound. I changed stations and ear buds to no avail. The next day I got a pdf of the manual and learned the volume toggle is a mute button when pressed downward. I first thought this was the solution, but the screen icon showed mute was not on. From these comments I learn my radio is not unique. At least the flaw showed up early so I can return it.

Very impressive HD Radio, and it's tiny! It does a great job, with the included ear buds, for picking up stations, but longer cords may hinder reception, so other headsets with 3 feet or slightly less should do fine.
