Great speakers for TV

We bought these speakers as an inexpensive way to improve the sound of our 42 inch Magnavox tv .I just couldn't justify the expense of the 600 dollar bose system, which also had two speakers and a subwoofer. I needed a RCA adaptor from Radio Shack. It took about ten minutes to connect to my tv . The only thing that I miss is being able to control the sound with a remote. But the improvement is incredible. Wish I had done this a year ago. The sound is so much clearer . The subwoofer is amazing, we rewatched parts of several action movies to compare the difference. Wow what an improvement. If you are on a budget , even if you are not, I would recommend these speakers.
What's great about it: Price, sound
What's not so great: No remote
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Grab For Your Money

Love the speakers, I have owned them for about 1 and 1/2 years now and they have worked great forever now. They are very good sound quality for desktop speakers for the easy setup. It has very long cables for trips or spreading out of the speakers and is very compact but loud sound. They do not blow, ive put them almost full volume for about 20 hours worth of music. The only problems i have is that the bass cannot hit low tones very well, its only 8 inches so thats pretty much what you can expect but hits mid tones like a beast. I also dont like the structure of the subwoofer and that the speaker is on the side, better for to be on the top and looks better.
What's great about it: Apperance is proffesional, good price, sound quality, long cables, dust control protecters, compact size
What's not so great: low tones with the subwoofer, structure of subwoofer
I would recommend this to a friend!

PROS:
1) $100 (thanksgiving 2012)
2) Come with a separate sub-woofer, thus beating the Bose Companion 3 in many ways already
3) Big and heavy units, ensuring good magnets inside
4) Great appearance
5) stereo unit has a headphone jack output, and a line input, and volume control and bass control
6) Comes with rubberized isolation stickers (they are necessary as the stereo units come with a very sturdy but metal stand that can slide around easily
7) VERY long wires
CONS:
1) The frequency response at decent volume goes from around 31 hz through 14 khz. While that would cover most needs, it does leave a little room for those who are seeking VERY deep notes and VERY high notes to be reproduced. Don't buy if you are working with sounds lower than 31 hz or higher than 14khz
But for this price, it is a steal. It replaced my Bose Companion 2 series 1 two-speaker unit which sounded great, but gave an impression that the sound isn't wide enough and is coming from a small hole. These Klipsch sound wide, and open, and crisp.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic Speakers, with ok sound quality, nice looking!!! OK, the biggest thing that annoys me, is the fact you have to unplug the main unit to turn off completely!!! There is no On/Off Switch!!! The last set I owned, Had an On/Off Switch! I don't understand why they did not add this feature to the New Model. Its kind of irritating, having to crawl under my desk, to plug and unplug every time I need to use it !!! You get what you pay for! They are not the worst speakers, nor are they the Best...
