a short in the volume dial

there is a problem with the main volume dial. seems to be a short that would not allow me to turn down the volume on both speakers, only the right speaker would turn down leaving the left at full blast. i got the 2 year warranty, so hopefully Klipsch will fix the problem in that 2 years.
i returned the set, and am trying out my second pair., so far so good.
excellent sounding system. if this unit burns out, i am buying the bose instead.
What's great about it: sound is A++++
What's not so great: the short in the volume dial.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Just Bought This Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 Speaker System on Mother's Day 05/08/2010.
The System Offers a Great Sound.
But, This Particular System Did Not Have a Power Switch. I Repeat There's "NO" Power Switch Located on the Back of the Sub-woofer. I Took Pictures as Proof.
It Would Help if They Make the Sub-woofer Lighter & Smaller so It Can Be Use for Traveling...
What's great about it: Great Sound
What's not so great: Heavy & Bulky

Just bought these speakers at our local Best Buy. WOW Best speakers I have ever have hookeed up to my computor. Was going to buy a 75 dollar speaker but I'm sure glad I put out the extra bucks for these speakers.
What's great about it: Hooks up very easy. Ready to go in about 20 minutes
What's not so great: Nothing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Over all good speakers - Dont last long

These are good sounding speakers but the inputs on the back of the sub are not the best. Mine broke after about 3 months. I moved the speakers to another room in my office and unplugged the speaker wire and the little red and black plastic pieces popped off. I called and spoke with Klipsch and they told me, "they are speakers, they don't last forever." I was pretty upset about that.
Like I said, good sound, bad build

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

power source is funked! dead!

this was a great sounding system... when the power worked.. had to keep playing with the power cord to get it to "work" and thats only when it wanted to! finally went dead, no power at all.. returned to store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I WAS TRYING THIS AT THE STORE AND MAN THESE ARE LOUD!!!! EVERYONE KEPT LOOKING BACK AND FORTH TRYING TO SEE WHERE THE MUSIC WAS COMING FROM CAUSE THIS THING WAS BUMPING THE WHOLE STORE.....YEAH I HAD TO TURN IT UP TO THAT SONG BYE BYE BYE BY N' SYNC LOL....
What's great about it: NICE, EASY SET UP, AND LOUD
What's not so great: LIL PRICEY BUT WORTH IT...

This speaker system is $50 dollars more than the Bose Companion II series 2 which I exchanged for it. Unparalleled performance. Not even close on all levels, including aesthetics. Very high quality manufacturing and all around performance. I highly reccommened. The only reason I rated sound quality @ 4 is b/c there was not a 4.9.
What's great about it: A powerful system that you won't be matched at this price
What's not so great: The sub is a bit too much but it has a volume control
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the same set of speaker before and tried some different ones there's no comparison. These speakers are a little pricey to repair so when mine went out I purchased them again. 1st set lasted about 5 years!
What's great about it: Sound
What's not so great: Cannot control balance left to right
I would recommend this to a friend!
