Sounded good until the subwoofer electronics burned out right after the warranty expired.
Subwoofer kind of boomy and muddy.

I was limited on funds seeking a surround sound system for my new flat screen. i tried these speakers and BAM. subwoo is awesome I am totally please with the speakers. my TV volume can go from 1 to 75 before the speakers I was about 60 volume after a 12 is more than enough. I am very pleased with the speakers awesome sounds awesome quality. now I know

I constantly take photos with a lot of distracting movement in the background that requires a camera to avoid blurring my photos. This camera went above and beyond my expectations. It makes we wonder how fast something would have to be moving to cause it to blur.

Good, but needs different satellites

I bought this set to use at work. I’m using iTunes to playback lossless songs ripped from CD. When I hooked up the speakers and gave them a listen, there was something missing, like a hole in the sound, in the upper bass to lower midrange. I tried a different set of small speakers, same result. Then for the fun of it I took an old pair of bookshelf speakers with a 6.5” woofer using some 16 gage speaker wire and presto – the sound that was missing was there. Bass is pretty good for such a small driver in the sub, and I’m able to get the volume to levels too high for the office without distortion. The volume control that comes with the set is flaky, so I have it set to a reasonable level, and use the volume control in Windows to adjust the level. No amount of EQ could overcome the deficit before, but now I have a pretty good rig. I would advise using an outlet strip with a switch, so you can turn the amp on & off.

Another Klipsch failure

It appears my set is completely fried. I tried replacing the fuse, didn't fix it. I had a Klipsch reference series sub that has gone dead as well.
I dont know if this is the reason or not, but I didnt have either product on a surge protector and maybe Klipsch products are more susceptible to damage than others.
I am/was a Klipsch fanatic, I have complete set of Klipsch reference series home theater speakers along with a second cheaper set of of Klipsch home theater speakers.
I am installing a new home theater next fall, this failure of a $149 product along with the powered sub I owned from them, will cause me to seriously consider other brands as I no longer have the confidence in the product that I once did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
