good sound but needs a better subwoofer

With bass hitting songs like rap it distorts at high volumes the sub be flapping
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loud yet muffled sound. No power switch on the speakers I purchased online, yet some pics clearly show switch on the same model. I bought based on reviews and wish I had went with Logitech. Both brands are hard wired to controls on satellite speaker wich is a negative for me.
Klipsch, get your over rated heads out of your behinds.
What's great about it: klipsch name
What's not so great: no power on/off switch. price
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I didn't have these speakers hooked up for more than 5 minutes and I hated them. The sub was worse than my Logitech Z-2300's, yet I paid $60 more for these. The bass got extremely distorted if you turned the sub up more than half way, so distorted I couldn't even listen to it. I guess the one good thing about this system is that the satellite speakers sounded terrific, very very nice. But the sub was almost sickening to listen to.
What's great about it: Satellite speakers sounded great.
What's not so great: Subwoofer was horrific.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Static/Whooshing

For the first month, these speakers were fantastic. Worked great, looked pretty good, and were extremely loud. One day I turned them on and I heard a loud static/whooshing noise from the right speaker. I thought it might be interference from a different device such as my phone, so I moved it away from all other electronics, but it didn't change it at all. After doing a quick Google search, I found that lots of people have this problem with the Promedia Speakers, and it can never happen, or it can happen at any time. One person had this happen to them after a few years.
Not acceptable for such expensive speakers. I intend to return them to Best Buy tonight and purchase a different brand, (I'm thinking I might pony up a bit more from a nicer product such as Bose).
I would not buy from Klipsch again simply because that is not acceptable that you can charge so much for a "high quality" product, that has a roll of the dice chance of acting up later.
What's great about it: looks good, decent sound quality while it lasted, volume
What's not so great: static/whooshing, high price for low quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

left speaker stays on even when turned all the way down
no power on/off
green light bugs the cr@p out of me
knobs are pretty long
sound is great
not worth the buy

What's not so great: It doesn't work properly and has little controls

bought these speakers and within an hour of getting home and plugging them in and listening to music, they died. no warning no nothing. just, oopps were not going to work anymore.
the price of these speakers is by far way way way to much for the quality of sound that you are going to get. if you are one of the lucky ones out there that have a working set, then by all means enjoy them. they are not bad. i just found them to be over priced and rather plane

So obviously the people giving these speakers 5 stars have never had a good set of speakers. I went from having my logitech Z2400 speakers and those were INCREDIBLE!!! unfortunatley i blew one of the speakers after of few years of use and couldnt get another set because logitech stopped making them after many years and i was EXTREMLEY angry. so i went and got these kilpsch speakers and i guess i cant complain cause they work but not NEARLY as good as my previous speakers. I like to keep my music loud VERY loud and for quite a while and after keeping it loud for five mins with these i feel as if they are about to blow. and the sound quality gets distorted at louder volume. I guess really i shouldnt be giving these only three stars but going from such high quality amazing speakers to these i was kind of like EHH. looks like im just gunna have to start upgrading to some proffesional speakers pretty soon. And about the subwoofer, theres is no comparison, logitechs sub would shake my house, this one just is terrible, its a little garbage sub thats just thrown in with the package. Overall i do some more research and get something better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
