Best 2.1 System Ever

I bought this many (5 to 8?) years ago when they were at the $300 price point. BB had it set up with a bunch of other speakers for side-by-side comparison and I fell in love. The price tag hurt a little bit, but the sound to me was worth it. I've yet to find another 2.1 setup that sounds better (and some of my friends' home theater systems can't compete!) The bass is amazingly smooth, even with the sub dialed at 20%. The speakers do color the sound a bit, but in a very good way (lots of clarity too). For under $100, I don't see why BB stocks anything else. BUY IT NOW!
What's great about it: the clarity, the bass, the look
What's not so great: price was 3 times higher when I purchased it years ago
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am waiting for them to go on sale so I can buy another set. They have a very full sound for as small as they are. Large range of bass control on the subwoofer....no need to turn it up all the way. Great speaker.
What's great about it: The sound.
What's not so great: Wish the price was lower....but am a thrifty shopper...I have faith they will go on sale again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

2 0 0 W A T T S of awesome, pure and clean sound! Turns my desktop in my bedroom into a mini movie theater!

Great sound, great price

I couldn't be more pleased with these speakers, save for a couple small things. Having come from a set of Logitech Z-2300s, I wanted something that would bump just as hard, while sounding just as good, without spending more. These fit the bill perfectly.
I wanted a pair of speakers that would easily hook up to my laptop for playing my music and watching youtube, but would connect to my PS3 just as easily. This is the only downside to the speakers. If you want to connect these to a video game console, you'll have to purchase a separate cable that converts a headphone in to the red/white audio inputs. I paid 2 bucks for one. Problem solved.
The sound is incredible. I'm not a music buff that can distinguish all the highs, lows, mids, etc... but I like hearing all the cool stuff going on in my music. You hear everything, and it sounds great. Playing Battlefield 3 will blow you away, the explosions rock the walls and the two little speakers do a great job of making decent surround effects. Skyrim is crazy too. All the small sounds (birds, wind, water, etc..) make for a more immersive experience.
The bass kicks, but don't expect too much out of the little sub. I wanted to give them a workout so I played Swing My Door by Gucci Mane. There's almost too much bass in the song, and it distorted the sound coming from the speakers. Maybe messing around with an equalizer would help, I didn't bother to find out as I don't listen to much bass heavy tunes.
I only paid $100 through Best Buy during an online sale, and feel like I stole them. They do everything well. If you live in an apartment / dorm like me, and you can't afford a receiver, amp, sub, and a couple floor standing speakers, BUY THIS SET.
What's great about it: SOUND, price
What's not so great: didn't buy sooner

I purchased a computer about 10 years ago and it came with these speakers. It finally got a tear in the woofer so I decided to replace everything. It still worked and I could have just replaced the speaker itself but it was 10 years old so I just decided to replace it with the same model. Should have another 10 years of great sound. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
What's great about it: Great sound, don't take much space on desk

I use this system for preparation of a set for our praise band at church. I consider myself a bit choosy when it comes to sound. I truly believe there is not better system at this price including Bose.

Awesome speakers!

The speaker system creates crisp and clear sounds. The sub produces a base sound that blew my sons away! They couldn't believe the sound. The only problem that I have is that there is no power button. I leave my pc on most of the time so I have the green light that as bright as a night light on all the time. I wish I could turn the speakers on an off without having to unplug them from the power strip which is buried under my desk along the wall and very difficult to access. Even if you unplug the speakers from the pc, the green light shines on.
What's great about it: Amazing sound
What's not so great: No power button
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the sound that is produced from these speakers. The only downside is that they are not made with an on/off switch. The mfg indicates that it is fine to leave on and doesn't use much electricity.
What's great about it: Great sound quality
What's not so great: The price is high.
