Affordable THX-certified sound as low as 31 Hertz

A lot of THX-certified sound systems are going to cost you thousands, even more to get the sound signature you expect from a cinema, Klipsch has been making affordable THX-certified PC Speaker Systems for 15 years, and I really love the amount of bass it has! Unlike most computer speakers that can only go as low as 50 Hertz in bass, this one can go as low as 31 hertz in bass. Very punchy sound from head to toe. Not having a power off button/feature is the system's problem. While the computer speakers may be pricey, keep in mind that $150 for a THX-certified system is more accessible than many which requires thousands more. This is as close you can get to a cinema without spending a fortune.

These speakers are awesome. I bought 2 sets, one for the computer and one for my TV - I don't need a huge surround sound system and these speakers kick butt. Easy to set up (I'm a 50 something female). Rich and full sound. I am grateful for the employee whose Dad had a been a sound geek when he was growing up. Great deal for the $$. Heck, great deal for any money.

This is the first review i have ever written, so that in itself shows the love I have for them. I recently received these speakers as a gift and they are awesome in every way. the sound quality and bass are clutch plus they were easy to set up. CAUTION : these are awesome so if you have a research paper to write do not buy them because you will be Rocking/Jaming/Dancing/Singing and HavingLotsOfFunPlayingThemLoud instead of writing your research paper.
What's great about it: everything homies
What's not so great: it would be cool if they came in different colors

Awsome sound

I have had these for over 2 years.. I have also had more expensive and these are the best bang for the buck. They thump almost as loud as my home stereo and the clarity is awsome. I have the lifetime warranty (highly recommended) and am currently on my 3rd set. They have the amp inside the woofer box and it generates alot of heat. Especially when you have 'em cranked. . They sound really put a cheap fan somewhere to draw air, so put it somewhere that is not hot.
Add some high quality headphones and your ears will bleed. Oh yeah, put in a THX movie and the sound will blow you away.
What's great about it: Great value and powerful sound.
What's not so great: Overheat and will short.
I would recommend this to a friend!

In a nutshell, if you're in the market for a good 2.1 computer speaker set, get these. It's literally as simple as that.
I bought these a couple weeks ago and they create such a great, full sound that I can't get enough of. I can hear every little detail on every song I listen to now.
This doesn't count as a gripe, but just make sure that you have room for the satellite speakers since they are pretty big for computer speakers. I have them mounted on my wall so I'm set.
What's great about it: Good thump (but not overpowering), very accurate, warm sound.
What's not so great: The satellites are rather large.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This 2.1 system is pristine for the price
These speakers have made my music library sound fresh and vibrant. The power behind this system is remarkable, it is loud and clear. Gaming has a new dimension of clarity.
The horn tweeter and quality midrange speaker drive this system. It propels crisp sound with power. The sub is powerful and tight a note about the subwoofer: Placement is key! Depending on what kind of bass you want placement will provide either thumping muffled bass or very tight bass notes. I had to take mine off the floor and elevated above my desk center(I have a higher desk shelf for sub placement). Put close to wall and or corner for muffled bass. Bass is very omnidirectional but room placement is key. Elevated off the floor above my desk was required to eliminate the drowning thumping bass that dominates other frequencies.
Fixed speaker wires attatched at one end I thought was poor design. Power button as mentioned on the back of the subwoofer is cumbersome but since I raised my sub turning on/off is easy.
Great purchase
What's great about it: Clarity and loudness
What's not so great: power button on back of sub; permanent speaker wire attatched to speaker
I would recommend this to a friend!

PROS:
-AWESOME sound
-Super-crisp highs that dont get messy when you crank them
-Subwoofer is better than ANY i have heard on a sub-$400 speaker system
-AWESOME bass from subwoofer
-Mids aren't the best ive ever heard, but the awesome-ness of the highs and lows make up for it
-2.1 may be a drawback for some, but the sound is better than ive heard of any 5.1 or 2.1 system under $400. You get really loud, powerful, clear sound out of only 2 speakers and a sub
-Install is very very very easy - Plug 'n play
CONS
-You can only hook these guys up to one thing at a time - bummer.
OVERALL
-Buy them, u wont regret it
What's great about it: best speaker system ive heard under $400 and theyre 2.1!
What's not so great: lack of any connectivity besides the one green connector to a headphone jack.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was looking to upgrade the Logitech setup for my IMAC. These Klipsch speakers really improved my listening experience. Way loud, too loud really, had to turn volume and subwoofer level way down to avoid rattling my teeth. Seriously tho, I am 100% pleased, very deep rich tone, base sounds awesome, 100 times better than the Logitech's I had.
Setup was a breeze, 5 min max and I was hooked up and ready to rock.
If your like me you had never heard of Klipsch before. I read the reviews on here and was impressed. Do your research first, then buy these Klipsch's. I doubt you will be disappointed.
I would not seriously consider Bose, with Bose, you are buying a name, one that is overpriced and over rated. Read expert reviews and you will know what I'm talking about.
What's great about it: Sound quality
What's not so great: No separate bass and treble controls but this is nit picking.
I would recommend this to a friend!
