I was trying to decide between these and the BOSE Companion 5s. SOOOOOOOO GLAD I went with KLIPSCH. These are their Quintet speakers and a nice sub.
What's great about it: Sound Quality, BASS, Ease of Use
What's not so great: Doesn't turn off...I just turn down the volume at night.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WoW I love these speakers, First night I got em I put the volume to 1/4 the level and felt like I was a concert. Best speakers ever bought hands down. I never write reviews but after buying them I felt the need to share my experience and help others choose the best SPEAKERS out there for the PRICE .... TRUST ME DONT DO NO MORE RESEARCH GO TO BEST BUY AND GET THEM .... TRUST ME
What's great about it: The Sound, Better then BOSE
What's not so great: NOTHING
I would recommend this to a friend!

simple hook up good sound

overall a great buy- i had been pricing other self powered spaekers for use out side with a projector and i did not want to wire up a whole home theater for a 2hour movie. most of the speaker i found were 40 or 60 watts and from $100 - $150 for the pair. found these on display 200 watts and a sub for $158 bucks great deal, and klipsh is a good brand so i went for it and have been happy with them overall. my coment about the bass being thumpy is not a speaker problem, because you can adjust the amount i just feel that the bass should be able to handle the same volume as the others speakers but overall they do sound great
What's great about it: esay to set up
What's not so great: bass is alittle thumpy at loud volume
I would recommend this to a friend!

These cost a bit more than I wanted to spend, but they've been well worth it. Sub is powerful. L/R speakers sound clean. Only complaint is the bright green power light. I could cover it with some tape I suppose.
What's great about it: Clean sound
What's not so great: Bright green power light

These speakers are fantastic for the price. I couldn't be happier. I had a 5.1 Philips receiver and speaker system before this and this makes that system sound awful. I am happy I spent this money. The speakers are heavy duty and work flawlessly.
What's great about it: Easy Set Up, THX, Sounds Great
What's not so great: 2.1

Excellent Multi Use Speakers

Don't pay attention to any of the negative reviews here. I have had my Klipsch Promedia speakers for 5 years now and have had NO problems. And I am not the only one. I had recommended these speakers to 3 others I know and none of us has had any issues. After 5 years, the sound quality is as great as day 1. I hook these speakers mainly up to my computer, but every once in a while I will hook my cell phone or mp3 player to them. The sound is tops in this category, even better than Bose and Logitech comes no where close. And as far as sufficient power, just ask my neighbors.
What's great about it: Sound quality, Flexibility
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great sounding speakers

I listened to these speakers at a best buy store and carefully compared to the other speakers that were lined up at the display. Don't recall the brands but some were comparable in price others were a little less expensive - the Kilpsch were clearly the best sounding speakers...at the time I thought this is very tempting I don't really need another pair of computer speakers so passed on them. Then on black friday the price dropped by $50 and I just had to buy them. Glad I did.
What's great about it: Quality at reasonable price
What's not so great: na

I was going to buy the Bose Companion 5 until my friend recommended me this Bad Boy. He let me listen to his Klipsch 2.0 Pro Media speaker and I was blown away with the quality and clarity of the sound. Great tones on mid range. The sub-woofer shook my whole second floor. I love and I have been using Bose sound systems but, this is a lot cheaper than the Bose Companion 5 with equal or greater sound quality. It saved me a lot of money to buy a tablet. Pretty Cool.
The only downside to this speaker is that it has no OFF switch. The design could be a little better, the volume and sub-woofer knobs are a little flimsy and I wish it came with a software for more preferred sound option.
What's great about it: Excellent Sound Quality for the price. Easy to setup
What's not so great: No OFF button/switch & flimsy volume knobs.
I would recommend this to a friend!
