Beware - Great Sound if they come on !

My new pair (purchased 11-5-12) started faulting no power shortly after I hooked them up. They came back on after unplugging for a while and I thought, Okay it must be an internal fuse for saftey.... wrong ! (old models had exterior fuses) but this Klipsch Promedia 2.1 set rarely works ... if ever. They seem dead. I am getting ready to ship it back to Klipsch Warranty, UPS cost about $50 and USPS Parcel Post with insurance is around $32. You have been warned ! These are great sounding, I wish my worked reliably, but they don't.
What's great about it: Outstanding Sound if it powers up !
What's not so great: Reliability, No Fuse, Warranty Return Shipping Cost
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased these about a year ago and loved them for about 11 months. The sound was impressive, the best "computer" speaker I have ever owned. During the last month, they have started to act up. Just like some of the other negative reviewes, the sound control or one side of the system seems to not work. I have checked all connections and computer settings, but the speakers act as if the controller is fried. The volume is different for each input. If I listen to music, the volume is around a 3. When I move over to working inside a program, the sound might be a 10/10. It can not be turned down at the speaker. Even if I set the sound on my computer at 1, the sound is too loud at the speaker.
I now need new speakers and even with this negative review, I am seriously am considering buying another set of these. Why?....they did sound great when they worked. Best sound for $150.00 in my opinion. I just hope I get one of the GOOD pair this time.
What's great about it: Great sound
What's not so great: Died after a year
I would recommend this to a friend!

These speakers will blow your head off if you turn them all the way up. You'll also be amazed by the clarity of their output. These speakers are a very reasonable size and will fit on almost any computer desk. You can not beat the price either. If you don't have some yet, I would go and buy them before they're gone.
What's great about it: They handle well at high volumes and they're not huge.
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Much better sound quality and volume than anything else in the store. Much louder and $100 cheaper than Bose Companion 3 (even though I have always liked Bose in the past) and close to the same quality.
I highly recommend these speakers.
What's great about it: Easy to setup, loud, great overall sound
What's not so great: price is high for computer speakers (but they are worth it!)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I read the feedback on this speaker system before I went to the store.
When I heard them I was sold , I had to get them.
They are the best sounding speakers at Best Buy. IMO
I think they sound better than my old Logitech 5.1 system.
A bit pricey , but more than half the price of a comparable Bose system.
Get a set now.
What's great about it: Great sound for 2.1 speakers
What's not so great: Pricey but worth it
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT SYSTEM

I purchased this system 4 years ago and I didn't use it alot but always enjoyed the sound.However I just purchased a 8 series Samsung tv and hooked this system up to it and it sounds amazing!! It's worth the price and the warranty is 5 years vs 1 year for competitors! I will purchase more of Klipse products.
What's great about it: Easy set up!!
What's not so great: Sub woofer is a little heavy
I would recommend this to a friend!
