I have to say that these are some of the best computer speakers that I have ever heard. They look awesom and sound even better. They have extremely long cords for the speakers so you can place them anywhere. I will warn you that they are very loud and have some seriously solid bass for this type of system. Only negative is that they don't have a spot to plug in a pair of headphones(not that important). I love these speakers!!!
What's great about it: Sound, style, everything!!
What's not so great: Doesn't have a headphone jack.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been looking for a good deal on computer speakers for a while. The reviews on these were great all over the web. I took advantage of the sale a BB for these under $100. These things can crank out the music. I highly recommend these.
What's great about it: Great sound

If Klipsch is the name, you can't go wrong. Period! I have owned Bose, Sony and even the old Macintosh of yesteryear. Nothing comes close.
I actually own two sets of these speakers. Just be careful with the bass. It's got a pair! AAAAAAAA+
What's great about it: Top quality sound. It fills the room.
What's not so great: N/A

I first tried the Bose Companion 2 and was very disappointed with the sound they produced. Klipsch beat out Bose for the better product here, hands down! The speakers cost an additional $65 more than the Bose, but I'd make the same decision again in a heartbeat. I have only had $20-$30 computer speakers my entire life and this was a big leap for me. Given the digital age and my recent project to convert my collection to digital format, I wanted quality speakers. I tried them out in the store and I knew right away I had to have them. Great sound, great bass.....you won't be disappointed!
What's great about it: Crystal clear sound quality, awesome bass!
What's not so great: No dial to shut off completely
I would recommend this to a friend!

- Do the speakers compare favorably to my expensive 7.2 speaker AV system? No.
- Does the amplifier and its inputs compare favorably to my higher end AV sound processing receiver? No.
- Does this system cost approximately $150 and produce excellent sound for my computer system? Absolutely.
My computer listening experience is based upon a HP quad processor desktop with an Auzentech sound card and preamp sound processor/equalizer. The speakers are sitting in a multi-shelf desk system, enclosed on all sides, open in the front and rear and full of equipment. The satellite speakers are sitting behind two 22" monitors surrounded by equipment and wires and the subwoofer is sitting on the floor at the bottom/rear of the desk. I am not a "booming" bass fan and only use enough bass control to duplicate the sound quality of live music or a little more and prefer clear, room filling, quality sound with no audible distortion.
I read personal and professional reviews on a myriad of small audio systems to replace the low quality sound of my 15 year old Altec Lansing 2.1 computer system and narrowed it down to several systems, including Bose Companion 3, Antec Soundscience Rokus and this Klipsch Pro Media.
I purchased the Rokus, was impressed with its sound definition, clarity and it even had a toslink optical input, along with a nice remote control puck. I tested both the optical and 3.5mm headphone jack inputs and could not tell any difference in the apparent sound quality to my aging ears. After much adjusting of the preamp, I just could not get enough quality bass and the midrange may have been lacking also.
I then came across a set of Bose Companion 3's on a store shelf and not on display to listen to. While flipping the smaller and lighter weight than expected box, reading the specifications, I just could not figure out how this lightweight speaker system could produce enough bass and reluctantly passed. My expectation was the vocals and treble would probably be excellent, but I was not convinced the bass would be appropriate for my minimal - moderate needs.
Next came a trip to Best Buy and they had a set of Klipsch's on full display. I was really impressed by the amount and tightness of the bass while listening to a radio station in that large, open store. The treble was not quite up to what I had hoped for but I decided to take them home for a try in a different listening environment and with my audio setup.
After less than an hour of setting the preamp controls versus the speaker-amplifier controls, I was extremely happy with this purchase. My 192 khz ripped Blues MP3s and pop instrumentals sounded very good, considering the price of this system. And even Internet music from Pandora and Jango had a much improved sound quality. Even in this less than perfect listening setup, the soundfield was excellent and spread between the satellite speakers, even the bass from the subwoofer sitting on the floor under the desk was between the satellites. I settles with the bass controls on the equalizer set at -2dB and the speaker amplifier base control is set at 1/4 to 1/3, depending upon the music source.
As a minimum, I really think one needs to be using some sort of equalizer. Without tweaking my equalizer and balancing/tuning the sound with the speaker/amplifier controls, I did not like any speaker system as it was initially hooked up to my computer. As a minimum, WinAmp should work fine for media supported by it.
What's great about it: Sound quality versus price
What's not so great: No remote control

Sound quality, including bass response, is excellent. The system assembled easily and set up was minimal.
What's great about it: Independent control for bass volume and for overall volume.

I was very apprehensive while researching about this speaker set since I research all my purchases to death before I commit. A lot of reviews consisted of broken connectors, bad satellites, and no power switch. Well now that I have owned my Klipsch for over 3 Months I can honestly say I have no problems to this day. The connections are as solid as the first day I got them, and they sound just as nice. Neither of the satellites have had any issues.
The first day I picked them up, I followed the instructions and set it up, turned them on, plugged in my cellphone (3.5mm jack works for aux devices too) and pressed play on my media player. At that moment my ears fell in love, the bass was very deep and rich, the mids were great and the highs sounded crisp and clean. Ever since that day, I have listened to a variety of songs ranging from country to rock, to hip-hop and rap. These have yet to un-impress me. The amount of bass that this thing pumps out is well worth the price, My room is about 12' by 13' and it makes the objects in my room vibrate at 3/4 on the sub dial and full on volume. With both dials maxed I literally have to cover my ears for fear of becoming instantly deaf, and I can feel the music in my gut. Don't be mistaken, at 1/4 on both dials I can still hear it down the hall about 15' feet away from my bedroom, with the door closed.
All in all these are amazing for the price, I have no complaints what-so-ever, the lack of a power switch is odd but its easily overcome with a switched outlet/power strip. The volume is great, and the range is fantastic. I purchased a Black-Tie 2year warranty with these so I can blast them without worry of breaking them and being sol since the warranty will replace or fix them even if I popped a speaker during a fun night. :)
One word of caution, the sub unit gets rather hot at high sub levels so ventilation is key for extended use at ear-splitting volume.
I would purchase these 10x over at the price of $200 if I had to.
What's great about it: Amount Of Bass, Great Value, Sound Quality, Ease of Set Up, Solid Build
What's not so great: Sub Can Get Hot At High Levels With Extended Use
